Windshield washer fluid won’t spray on windshield
Hi all,
I have a 2015 Rdx. I’m having an issue with my windshield washer fluid not spraying on the windshield. It sprays on the rear window, just not the front. When I pull the lever towards me to spray, the wipers move, but nothing sprays out. Not even a drop. It did work this morning however as there was snow covering the nozzles and I hit it this morning and the snow was blue. I don’t think it’s a pump issue as fluid sprays on the rear window. I checked fuse #13 which was labeled “washer main.” I’m not sure if that refers to the washer pump or not but I checked it anyways. Are there any other fuses that have to do with the pump and switch in the lever? Like I said before there was snow on my car and it’s winter so it’s a bit colder. Thanks.

I know it's a redundant question, but is your washer fluid filled up? There's been times where I still had some left in the lines going to the rear wipers, but was completely dry in the front wipers. Also, the nozzles could just have snow or ice packed into them.

Yeah, I topped it off this morning. I don’t believe the lines are leaking either because I would hold the lever toward me to spray for a while and then check the level and the level would be the same. It just seems like the pump isn’t turning on for some reason.

Does anyone know where the relays are for the washer fluid pumps. My pumps are not getting 12V, but the wipers work. The wipers turn on when I pull the handle backwards to get spray, but no washer fluid.

I found two clusters of four prong Omron relays underneath the steering column. The are attached with trim clips (that's how you can tell where they are) The one with two Omron relays is for the washer pumps. You can test these relays by attaching 12V pos and ground to the two vertical plugs (as if you had it pluged in). It will click. Then check continuity on the two horizontal plugs. These are available for order on Amazon.
I replaced mine and the pump still isn't working. I put 12V to the pump and it turns on. I might have route a switch from the fusebox to the pump. Seems it would be easier than pulling the wiring apart.

Have you checked the switch?

Just curious if you can hear the washer fluid motor energize?
Also, just want to make sure no one has diluted or put water in the reservoir which may have frozen if you are are in a cold region?

I used a paperclip to connect the relay terminals on the cluster with two relays. I think the cluster with two relays is for the motor now and the cluster with four relays is possibly for the washer fluid pump. Is there a picture in the service manual? Thank you!
