Water freezes at 32F, which is 0C... so that is completely normal. BTW, don't keep trying to make them spray if they are frozen or you will have toasted pumps.

That's why you should be using a higher concentration windshield washer fluid .. won't freeze until its much colder

My Acura dealer topped that off, Cant say what they used. Any of that blue W/W fluid usually works.

It happened to me this morning too, about 4 degrees in Pittsburgh. My car was in a garage all night, and I have windshield fluid in the reservoir. Never had my Accord freeze, even down to 10 below, with the same fluid. Maybe Acura topped it off with water in October when I had it in for servicing.

I have been using the Prestone De-icer (light yellow color); haven't had a problem with freezing nozzles or freezing while driving. It was $2.88 a bottle though, a bit pricey. Also, I think it has high concentrations of alcohol, as it does burn the skin a bit on contact.

That's why European cars come with heated washer nozzles.

I believe the Nissan products do, too.

Caution!!

Read the labels on the high concentration cleaners. Some of them are so potent they can damage the paint if left on for a long time. I've used RainX. It doesn't freeze and I haven't noticed any paint damage, but I wash the area around the windshield after use, just to be safe.

2004 TL Washer Nozel Freeze Up

It's the first winter here in Toronto Canada and my washer nozels have been frozen for some time. I've used there different anti-freezes, the last being Rain X ice melter to no avail. Anyone else having this problem? I'm going to go to the dealership, but as per previous experience, I'm sure they aren't going to be much help. Is there aftermarket nozel heaters?

Any feedback will be appreciated.
Regards
Stephan
