Propeller Shaft Replaced

I brought my RDX in to the dealer today for an A-1 service (I had a $25 off coupon) and had my propeller shaft replaced at the same time. Even though my RDX didn't shake or vibrate excessively, the new shaft definitely made the ride much smoother!

Was it part of a TSB? Acura usually doesn't do routine checks on a "A" service, usually "B" service.

It is a part of a TSB. I asked for it when I made my appointment. The part number is: 40100-TX4-A02

Do you have the TSB # handy?

So I'm confused.... the TSB seems to be about vibration during VCM... but this is only for the AWD version. So is it that only AWD versions have vibration during VCM?

They revised the rubber isolator of the center support bearing of the propeller shaft. This component is attached to the floor pan and was the cause of the vibration.
I suspect that when in VCM mode the additional vibration was transferred through this part.
All I know is that since having the propeller shaft replaced I can no longer feel any vibration.
I'm assuming that FWD vehicles don't have this issue.
