with all the auto tranny problems, has any one done a 6 speed conversion on an 01 or 02 and how much did it cost?

Search. No one has done it. Not impossible but extremely complicated.

Yep, hasn't been done on a cl as of yet. There are some accords on v6performance.net ...but then again thats a different car and I think some of them have had issues also. Good luck if you decide to go that route.

Like I've said before there's just so many little things that are completely different that would be screwy. Wiring would be the hardest part since you've got a new ECU. But the little things like how the cruise control switches off with clutch action, etc. No VSA, etc. The best way to "swap" the 6MT is to just buy a new car like I did

You could do it but it would be a lot work. Everything mrsteve said and more. I believe you would even have to beef up the firewall for the clutch pedal. Probably be better off sellin it and findin an 03 6MT.

Plus you have to relocate the e-brake. That's one of the bigger ass pains.

Best $6,000 you'll ever spend, next to buying an Allmotor turbo kit
