Post s/c or to six speed

i had a question,anyone knows somewhere i can get a kit for a s/c
for the cl s

i say the six speed swap would be the better mod of the two.

you'll be exponentially faster with the six speed, while giving you the peace of mind the tranny wont blow, and additionally giving you a better engaging car.

with the supercharger, you'll be constantly worried about your tranny blowing, and if you dont control the heat, your engine could go too.

sell the auto CL and look for a 6 speed CL. then look for a used s/c.

And yea that would be a good answer gnuta but ive had to invest too much money in the car already so investing more is kind of the only viable option at this point. It was a bad trade gone wrong so :/

Wouldn't it also be easier to find a s/c once I've gotten the six speed installed?

simply put; the supercharger SUCKS.

do the six speed swap and you'll forget all about the supercharger.

you'll be exponentially faster. the six speed tranny weighs about 100lbs LESS than the automatic tranny.
you'll be quick and wont even need the supercharger at that point, destroying most everything on the street, excluding built modern v8's.

if you're set on a 6speed swap, then put in a 3.5 or 3.6L at the same time. You'll make as much power as a s/c on low boost then anyways. Do a search and you'll find all the answers here.

my friend blew my engine.
he was trying to find the sweet spot in third.

if he downshifted into third at 90mph; there goes a bent valve or two...
I'm in the process of assessing my options.

At first i thought, why not go big and do a 3.7 build....but that option is expensive and I kinda want my car back soon.

I think I'm gonna go with 3.5 heads.

just to be clear, I have a 2006 TL 6MT.
the 2008 type-s engine does not mate to my 2006 tranny.
i can however, use the 2008 type-s heads on the 3.2 bottom

^the J35a8 is for my generation, 2007-2008.
I'll take a guess and say it wont be compatible with yours.

if you wiki the engine names, you'll see which year is compatible with your CL.

p.s. sorry for confusing you with talk of my engine build, as we have different engines..

If you're not that mechanically inclined I still say buy a 6speed. Most of your auto CL parts will transfer over. Much much less headache. Then down the road you pop in a 01-02MDX (I believe) bottom end with your CL-S heads.
