Having problems with my CL-S6 power steering pump making whining noises while turning. Pretty much since I bought the car about 9 months ago it was leaking power steering fluid and making a slight whine. In January I replaced the rack and pinion and high pressure feed line thanks to FwC's guide and that stopped the leaks from that part but the noise got worse. Then I replaced the pump, reservoir, and hose from reservoir to pump, but the noise is still there.
Having replaced everything but the return from the gearbox to the reservoir, belt, and the pressure switch, I am out of ideas as to what might be causing the whine in the pump. Do you guys have any ideas? My best theory right now is that I just got a faulty pump (bbb industries from rockauto), but I dont want to drop 200 on a better one if thats not the problem.
Anyone else had these problems? Thanks

Faulty aftermarket pump could be the culprit.
However, if you are bleeding the PS system correctly to remove any / all air and still get a 'whine', perhaps air is getting reintroduced at one of the many connections shown below?
You may have to revisit all the work you initially performed to check / adjust any fasteners?
