Door leak issue

I noticed a door leak issue since i got my car back from the bodyshop. I tested it by running water over the area. It dsnt seem to leak right away but after i drive or if i check in the morning i will notice a new stream of liquid running down the inside door panel that has stained both doors now.

I went to my local Acura dealer cause I saw online they had a 03 cl on the lot. When I checked that car it had the same stains as my car does in the pics. I was wondering if this is a common problem and if anyone knows a fix for it. I was thinking of removing the door panel, tweeter housing and side view mirrors and reinstalling to see if that helps. If not maybe Ill just replace the door seals. Again i never noticed this before I had the bodyshop paint my car. Not sure 100% if it was happening before that or not but dont think so.

Im also trying to come up with a solution to those nasty water stains. Cleaner and vinyl dressing dsnt help. Only option might be to leave it or paint whole panel.

I need to check. I dont remember having the same stains, but my drivers side speaker grille is water stained. Not sure why.

For that stain, it may be the seal that runs along the bottom of the window. You need to remove the mirror to replace it. There should be a screw behing the mirror holding the trim on and the rest is held on by clips. You will break the clips BTW. I believe the new trim comes with the clips.

Theres also the weatherstripping around the window, I think they call it the run channel. You can replace that as well. I did mine awhile ago, I want to replace the other seals though. Theyre a bit stiff now being 7yrs old.

I dont have any of the speaker grill stains. I did replace the trim along the bottom of the window after i got it painted so dont think that is it. Im pretty sure it is either the weatherstripping/door seal or it is the seal for the side view mirror.

It could very well be the mirror seal. Its only $12 so might as well try it.

Try pulling the door panel off and running water over the door. You should be able to see better.

When I looked again I noticed dried water on that black metal piece under the seal/weatherstripping that i have in red. It looks like it is running down that black metal then behind the tweeter housing and then down the door panel. I was wondering if it could be from those little holes like the one i have outlined. Not sure if the water stain went further than that hole or not.

This is the top of the door. On that inner seal is it supposed to sit ontop of the outer seal or is it supposed to be tucked under. Both of mine are sitting on top atm and in that pic. The car i checked at dealer were on top also but that car had same leak stains as mine so cant go by that fully. When i got my car back from painting one was tucked under and one was on top so i just untucked the tucked one.

Yea, mine is untucked. When I washed the car today I actually noticed the same stain you have. So what option are you going to try first?

Im thinking about picking up the mirror seals anyway, theyre $12 a piece and easy to install.

Damn so you have same stains. Im gonna remove the tweeter housing and door panel and test it with water again. I think i might just replace the mirror seal and i already bought new door seals to put on. If that dsnt work ill just try to do a custom fix and seal stuff better.

I have been busy doing other mods but i got around to replacing the driver side mirror seal. I will see how the leak is on this vs the passenger i left alone and see if that helped.
