Brake light on with no issues

Ok so first of all its my understanding that there are two break lights in the CL; one when the e-brake is engaged to show that it is engaged and when your low on fluid, the second says "Brake Lamp" I'm guessing its purpose is to tell you when one of your bulbs is dead, out or not turning on.

So my brake lamp light wont go off, I recently smoked my tail lights so I was playing around back there a bit, but made sure everything went back the way it was supposed to. Also Ive made sure that all my bulbs work all the time as well as signal lights and reverse lights. Everything is in perfect working order but my car seems to disagree with me.

Any suggestions as to why its on or how to turn it off??

I think you mixed up the lights on the dash. Check your fluid.

I thought that could have been the issue and checked it any way, it was perfectly full.

Double check and make sure all of your brake lights are operational.

make sure sure the brake lights work when you step on it. I broke one of the filments in one of the double-filiment bulbs for the brake light so that when you step on the brake, it doesnt come on brighter.

Check the wires going inside the brake fluid. That was my problem, easily solved. GL.

Replace the Brake Master Cylinder Cap. The Float has gone bad. Most likely this happens @ 44 Degrees outside temperature or below. I had the same problem on my '01 CL and my '02 TL.
