Hey guys, I really need your help. My car is 2002 Acura CL type-s (66,000miles now). When I change the gear from N to D or D to N in the street while stopped in front of traffic light, the car shut off. However, if I turn it on, then it works. It is weird. In the sams club, one technician checked the condition of battery. He said, "It is ok". My friend did scanning my car by using car scanner but he didn't find any problem. I am not sure whether this is battery problem or electricity problem. Please let me know what problem is!~ " _ "

 

What does it idle at?

 

I was having a problem like this where my car kept dying out of the blue and it turned out my cables that connected to the battery were loose.

 

Yesterday my car was stopped one more time in the street. It is not the battery connection problem because I already check it. My friend cleaned the idle control valve, but I think it is not enough. After my friend cleaned it, my car was ok for a while. Now it is not stable.

 

It is still IAC valve problem

 

I change IAC valve today. It works! Now my car is OK !!

My car is stopped on driving again but the symptom is different from before. I changed idle valve and definitly it works because there is no shaking on RPM. Today the engine is off very smoothly. It is not battery problem. When the engine is off, I can turn it on right away.
Which part has a problem???? Please let me know
