2001 CL type-S ABS/VAS lights on
2001 CL type-S ABS/VAS lights on, should I be able to read the codes?
I can not find a blue two pin connector by the glove box...Do I need to take the glove box out?

Your tranny is not going out - you just have ABS system problem. ABS system codes can not be read by generic obd readers . There are few that can do it but these are top notch $200 devices like INNOVA 3160 or you need Honda HDS interface to read the codes. Probably one of the ABS wheel sensors went bad, just test them with regular multimeter. Could you explain more clearly why you are looking for some blue connector?

I was looking for the blue connector because of this post ( I know, wrong years, but I could not find anything better):
Try getting the ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), it could probably point you in the right direction. Or someone may be able to get you the troubleshooting steps.
How to get ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
1. Use a paper clip is similar conductive device to complete the circuit for the service check connector located on passenger's side under the dash.
3. The blinking ABS light frequency indicates the DTC.

Same shape as this, except on passenger side and blue
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) without the brake pedal depressed.3. The blinking ABS light frequency indicates the DTC.
NOTE: If the DTC is not memorized, the ABS indicator will go off for 3.6 seconds, and then come back on.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and remove the paper clip.Trending Topics

Have you ever used a INNOVA 3160 to get the ABS codes?
I was able to upgrade my 3130 to ABS code for $100. But it does not find any code on my CL.

You did not answer my question: Have you ever used a INNOVA 3160 to get the ABS codes?
This site: http://www.canobd2.com/TechInfo/News...fo%2fNews.aspx
Sayes that:
Equus Products, Inc., is pleased to announce the availability of an ABS Firmware upgrade for its INNOVA® 3110 CanOBD2® Tool and INNOVA® 1303 and 3130 ScanTool – CanOBD2®. The optional upgrade is available to current owners of these select tools via the upgrade button from the included OBD-PC Link™ application. The purchase price of this upgrade is $99.99 (U.S.).
So I bought the upgrade online and did the firmware update, but can not get the codes and thus I ask again; Have you ever usaed a INNOVA 3160 to get the ABS codes? from an Acura?
