Exclamation Door Lock Beeper Not Working

Hey guys, I've checked the forum and found a few hits for this problem but never found a real fix..

The problem is that when I press the lock button on the remote twice it doesn't flash the lights or make the 'beep' sound at all but does however lock it. I know this isn't a huge problem but I like the assurance of hearing it. I have checked to make sure that the beep is turned ON in the settings. All doors shut and lock so it isn't an open door problem either that I know of.

It's an 08 Type-S if that makes any difference

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

You should make sure all your doors are "really" locking. My lexus had this issue, so did my TL once my actuator stopped working. Push them all down by hand, then push the lock button on the remote.

Check the hood latch and hood latch switch.

Excessive clearance in the hood latch causes the hood latch switch to indicate the hood is open when it is not, and the security system will not set.
