Im new to this website but i need help and i figured this is the best place to get it. I recently changed the dash cluster bulbs in my 2001 CL. But now the SRS light is on. Any ideas on what i did wrong or how to fix this?

Changing the dash cluster bulbs will have NO impact on the SRS system. but masking an existing problem with a burnt out bulb COULD.

Are you the original owner of this vehicle? do you know if it's been in an accident?

I speculate: car was in accident that deployed airbags, the SRS light came on, the airbags were replaced but SRS unit was not (it's $$$) easy fix: put a bad lighbulb in the SRS indicator --> no more SRS light (until someone puts a good bulb in)

 

I’m not the original owner. When we bought the car we could see that body work had been done but the title was clean. If the car was in a crash the person never reported it. I didn’t change the SRS bulb just the lights behind the speedometer and rpms.
