2min after the previous officer let me go, another one pulls me over for going 71 in a 65. What a night already

 

And I still have a 5hr drive left

Its an 07 with 9k miles on it. well 9700 now. I'm gonna keep the price private. Loving the car. The drive was great. I have back problems so sitting in one spot wasnt too good, but that would happen in any car. The ride is just perfect, not too stiff and not soft at all.

First one was a ticket and I told the second guy and he felt sorry for me and gave me a warning.
But still took away like 30min of my time and some scary shit happened:

So he pulls me over, gets my ID and insurance, tells me to get out of the car and sit in the passenger seat of his car so we can talk about why he pulled me over (previous officer did the same). I tell him about how i got pulled over just a few minutes ago and not even two minutes into it, he pulled me over. So he decided instead of giving me a ticket, he'll give me a warning for no front plates and a 30 minutes lecture on why I should have front plates, I should not have the plates that belong to the previous owner, and why people that drive corvettes, mercedes and bimmers think they're above others. But any ways, we were talking and he looks up and says "hey, your car is moving" and I look at it and its about 10ft farther than where it was and it was still moving forward slowly. Shit. My dumbass forgot to pull the handbrake. We both jumped out of his car and started running towards mine and I got there first and pulled the handbrake up. Luckily nothing happened and it moved forward instead of back. I truly felt like an idiot and i'm sure he had the same opinion about me. After he let me go, I just kept it 3-4 over the speed limit and made it home at 4am. 3 pending tickets and 3 warnings is more than enough for now.No stepping on it until its all resolved.

I'm getting a GTR for a daily <-Red Text. But no, I don't even plan on putting more than 2k miles on it a year

Yeah, going to my buddy's shop pretty soon to pick one out. May be a K40

 

Man that's crazy story. Haha. In NJ we get a temporary plates when you buy car from a dealer.

Actually bought it off of a private owner, so i kept his plates for the drive. And yeah, I think that's how much these tires cost, but they're 100% worth it.

 

Driving this thing straight for two days and I now have a constant loud exhaust rumble in my ears! Im at home, but it feels like i'm sitting in the car. I love it!

I haven't been much of a Corvette fan but you're really changing my mind taking a look at the way this one is setup.

actually i dont even consider this a corvette :lol:

other than the body (3" wider) and the interior, everything is very different. Z06 is german designed, with a first 7.0L motor from GM, the biggest one they have ever made. The engine was pushed back and down by a few inches and the suspension has been redone and what not.

I just looked, they go from 50-70k. Interestingly most 07s are sub 10k. Why are first owners not driving them?

I found two in under 10 minutes that were heavily modded and over 60k.

Great pickup, beware the tickets (as you have seen) I never got pulled over in the CLs, I have been pulled over 2x in the Z in under a year and gotten one ticket. (the first time I was stuck in morning freeway traffic and found an opening, accelerated to 90+ for 10 seconds and was pulled over, the officer understood my frustration of as*hats going 50 in the passing lane and was in a rush to an accident so just said it was an arrestable speed and slow down.)

 

actually i got a bad ass deal on this one. one owner and when i first saw the car, it was in showroom condition. The owner is a very mature guy and being with him seeing him driving it around for an hour, i knew he might have red lined it a couple times only. All the mods were done just for fun.

If you look at the dealer prices, theyre all asking for an arm and a leg. They are for sale for as cheap as 35k for high miles ones.

oh yeah, the reason why the miles are usually so low is because pretty much all the z06s are weekend driver.

Yeah. Actually all of them are jealous, mostly because their cars cant put it down like this one does. On the streets, I just gotta watch out for the damn evos and thats it.
Another thing I love about it is that the first gear goes up to 60mph. And it gets up there quick. Before you know it, ur already at 120+

Will be doing a black on black cars photoshoot very soon. it'll be my car, an 05 SL65, and 09 SL65, and may be a TT Gallardo. All of them black with black wheels.
