Mahoney's 02 CL-S progress thread (Pic Heavy)

So ive had my CL for a little more then a year now and I thought it was time to do a build thread!

Picked her up april of 2012 w/ 67k miles for $7100. It was a city car so she had some dings.

this is when i first got her home.

So the first mod i did was upgrade the sound system(somewhat). i got a Kenwood DD Head Unit in the beginning of the summer. Damn that was a pita to take apart

After Working a minimum wage job for 2 months i finally saved up for some rims!!

Enkei STR5 18/7.5 +42 with some Dunlop Sport Signature 225/45/18 tires mounted on

Fast forwarding to november, some dick head broke into my car to steal my air maxs(but left my ipod chilling on the center console)

on that note i thought it was time to get some privacy, so i tinted her with 15% all around

picked up some DC Sport ceramic headers from xclr8

And about a month ago i got some Greddy RS mufflers to create a custom catback.

last but not least, i painted my headlight housings with a friend

I love how they came out.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Future plans: CAI and drop and probably done since she is my daily (saving for a 240sx project car)

Judging by your wheels you should be fine , but if you rub decent amounts cut the fender liner out some and roll the fender , but be careful . The fender like to pull away from the door and make a large gap there . The coils themselves are plug and play . Enjoy the low life .

Looks nice! How hard was the headlight mod? I'd rather take the dash apart than that front end.

taking the bumper off was fairly easy, but if your by yourself its kinda a pain to line it back up when you put it back on. as far as taking the headlight it was i pain in the ass since i used a heat gun, but other people put them in the oven for like 10min and it just pulls right apart.

Thanks guys, I'm going a little lower this weekend. Also thinking about the TL lip kit
If I get it before I get the car painted I there a way to put it in without molding it to the bumper?

Thanks man, I think I've seen yours there, 01/02 with 03 headlights and tails right? Yeah Steve said something to me about helping you install them, it's pretty easy. Getting it to the right height is just a pain in the ass though

ive been thinking about doing my own front lip so i dont scrape my bumper, i dont really like the look of the home depot lip but i want something allong those lines.

i found this online but idk how that will look on the cl, they also have a full front splitter that goes all the way across and doesnt have the little wing on the side. what do you guys think?

putting a lip on won't save your bumper....

just keep an eye on Kijiji for tl lips. or check junk yards

No updates and college just started back up so mods are gonna slow down

BUT...

hopefully this winter i can get my hands on a ebay lip kit, once i saw DLntheCL's lip kit i fell in love with it and want to modify the front bumper like that (sorry for copying lol).
im planning on getting the car painted next summer/fall, so im most likely gonna bolt it on for the time being then start molding it before it gets painted.

Does anybody know what the best front and rear camber kits are for our cars, and give the most adjustablity (negative camber). Ive decided to stance the cl since its auto, dont really wanna do anymore performance mods and blow it up since its my daily.

alright cool. they say they can go to -2 camber. if i put spacers on to make my offset to 25 will they fit. wheel specs are in my sig. rears are rolled and bumper tabs are relocated.
