I friggin luv those wheels!
Thanks man...trying to get better.
Seriously though...this proves that anybody can take decent photos with cheap cameras.
Most of the pics were taken with a 7 year old 4MP camera..!
The funny thing is that if you look at my memory cards...chock full of car pics.
That's it...nothing else!

Going to start painting some stuff today.
Went to the paint store and had some SSM paint mixed up!

Going to be painting:
* Engine cover
* Icebox cover
* Color matching door handles
* Color matching grille surround
Not sure what else I should paint...
Here are my supplies:

Total for supplies: $90
DIY: Priceless!

But I don't have that tie down...
I have a battery cover if I remember correctly.
Is that SSM paint?
I did my engine cover last year, and really did a half ass job on it...it was duplicolour. I'm going to re-do it this summer. I recently did my mud guards and battery tie down, with a custom mixed can to our SSM paint code. Also bought some quality primer and clear coat.
The bar is under the plastic battery cover.

Gotcha.
So the Engine Bay pics are with some other silver.
Well I wonder if I should just take my cover off...

Or leave it on there since I have the icebox lid to do as well...
The stuff I got is supposed to be some quality stuff.
Hopefully it'll come out good.

I was searching on the forums on how to remove the engine covers...no luck.
But I have a Helms Manual...just need to open it up.
Anything I need to be conscious of?
No, you'll be able to see the bolts just by looking at it. There like 4 or 5 bolts, and if you're doing the smaller part closer to the nose of the car, there are like two plastic flat head screws. Just take a look, it's really easy. Tip, take your time with the paint, and stay a good 6-8 inches away from the surface or you'll get drips.

I figured it was a simple "bolt on / bolt off" type of thing.
I'll try to keep my distance to get an even coat.
I'll be posting pics of course when I finish.
Thanks man.

I just realized how much I suck @ spray painting...
Good thing I started with the battery cover.
And f*n 3rd time a screw has stripped on the f*n Icebox!!!

I appreciate that.
True...the only drawbacks I would say is that I had to modify my hood latch assembly to allow the CF Hood to reach the 2nd position.
And at high speeds it shakes with it's lightweight...which always makes me nervous.
I think this is why a lot of people have hood pins to feel safe in the event the latch frees itself.
Surprisingly...I weighed both on a bathroom scale.
Only about ~20 lbs difference...but I love the look.

Painted Engine Cover & Chrome Trim
Lack of workspace and impatience has got the best of me...
I didn't have ample time to allow the covers to dry and had to re-install stuff prematurely without a few days drying time.
Doesn't help it's raining today!
Dayum!
Anyways...they turned out.....O K.
I wish they would have been glossier and had more time to do them correctly.
Learning process no doubt.
But here are a couple of pics.
