Drop coming in the next month.

Will have the components but what is going to slow me down is that I need to replace the passenger rear knuckle which is expensive.

I have a partial de-badge in the rear and the front no longer is badged.

I might just take off the whole rear badging but hesitant.

Thinking about blacking out the remaining emblems I have to be consistent with my black / silver theme.

Look larger than your 19's? WOW.

I think they look small because of that lip.

I hope that is going to change when I get my CL lowered.

As some of you know...I got my coilovers but haven't installed yet.

I will not be taking any full size pictures of all the latest updates until I get the drop...

Just don't see the point in it.

Anyways...couple of small updates to my CL that I wanted to share in my thread.

You can buy a sample pack like I did from customcargrills.com

It was $5 and included many different sample so you can get a sense.

I personally liked the perforated mesh style.

When you find the one that you like...they will give you a discount on the material if you bought the sample pack.

TO be honest...I bought my current grille from another member on the site.

I also have a matching lower grille but it interferes with my front license plate bracket...still contemplating what to do.

After I got it...I had it cleaned up and re-sprayed at a shop.

I have the template now with the one that I have to make another if this one gets damage.

The only difficult parts are to get that perfect crease to match up with the hood and bumper body line.

Also...the tabs...you need to cut those sections out correctly so there is still enough room to secure it back to the grill surround.

I am planning on making my own sometime soon...

But it was just a coincidence that I found somebody in NY that already had made one with the same mesh pattern I just bought.

So it worked out well...

Next part will be to take it off again and dremel out what I can from the wings...you can see them from behind and it has always bothered me.

Yeah...planning on it.

I think that would be sick...

I'm also contemplating doing something with the roof.

Not sure exactly what but I have some ideas I am tossing around.

^ Yeah that was one of the options I was considering...

But then spraying it clear...might as well paint it.

Some have suggested a "carbon fiber" looking vinyl...then clear...I'm not sure about it but who knows.

Nobody sees the roof so it would only be for effect.

Polarg M6 Bulbs

Another update...

I replaced the puny ass 5 watters for some Polarg M6's.

A worthwhile, affordable upgrade for the road lamps.

Here are some pics...if anybody is interested.

Why are your mirrors not fully painted?

Blacked out window looks good. Im contemplating it on mine, but it's NBP. It might over do it with the black.

What did you use, if anything, to clean the chrome and apply the tape?

Because they don't come like that...your are all black because your car is NBP

It's a mod some others have suggested to me and I guess it used to be a popular mod back in the day.

I used alcohol to clean the chrome trim.

Just be careful to keep it on the chrome as much as possible.

Think it would dry out the molding...

Chrome looks better on black then on silver...so I had to get rid of it.

I'm just going to get a color-matched grille surround for the front.

Thanks...what was with the TF CL?

I've seen another SSM around with tinted tails.

I'm in the Inner Sunset...where abouts do you frequent?

My girl lives in Outer Sunset...so I am between those two points most of the time.

B&M Transmission Cooler

Just picked this up.

One of the next mods...

Hopefully the install won't be too bad and it'll help keep my transmission in a cooler operating state.

^ Because I am not currently working...had to put off the install.

Not willing to take on a job that difficult by myself...I know....others are thinking right now...it's not difficult!

But...

With my EDFC and everything...not willing to risk it...going to have it professionally installed.

I figured that I would have had the Tein's installed in the 3 months I've had them but...

Can't justify spending the extra mula...it will happen soon enough.

As soon as I get a new job...that's def. my first priority.

I hate my CL right now...it just sucks to drive with the way it handles now.

Would have been the best time in the world to work on my CL...ha ha.

Knobs would have been fine...but I haven't really had a set of coils before.

Didn't know what to expect...EDFC was my answer to control the dampening until I find a comfortable ride.

San Francisco roads are nightmarish and I didn't want to be stuck with something that I couldn't conveniently tweak.

Knob tweaking isn't that bad though...I'm just lazy.

I'm still not even sure if it's going to fit under the carbon fiber hood...I'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah...I'm down to do that.

I can wait for the EDFC unit but thought it would have been easier to do it at one time.

I have the SS-P's and do you have the same or SS's?

Please...help.

I wish I could do this before the meet next weekend...but I doubt you have the time on short notice.

Anytime man...I got all the time in the world right now.
