Turbo CL-S Dyno *YEAH!!!*
Here y'all go:
419.3 whp
361.2 ft-lbs of torque
At 3K RPM, car has 300 ft-lbs of torque!!
AT 5K RPM, car makes 328whp!!
It was a VERY hot day today... 106 in the valley and 86 at the dyno. I wanted to run
0 timing retard, so I put 50% Motorsport 103 gas and I assume final octane value is around 93-94 octane. It did not ping at 6.1 psi. Exhaust was open as I wanted to see what
this car would put down.
Next step is the extra 750cc injector and ~8-9psi - I am hoping for 460whp. Aso, I only
took it to 6800 RPM... could have taken it higher.
I am now certain that with a 70mph head-wind and 70C temps, the car is putting down
just about 500hp at the crank.
I am just plain stoked!!!
Anybody want to host the dyno plot?!? The plot is a comparison between the old kit and the new one.

I dyno'd at Church Automotive Testing... he's one of the founders of the TOV site, so I believe he's going to put up the #'s there as well.
I really want to e-mail this to Comptech

We need a stronger ignition system.. I have a misfire at around 5.2K RPM. What I don't
understand is how the stock injectors (even at 90psi) can maintian a 12.4 AFR for this kind of power level. I tuned the car to run 12.0 AFR with the stock exhaust.... opening it up bumps it to about 12.4 which is ideal for maximum power.
In full street-trim (91 octane w/timing retard & stock exhaust), the car probably puts around 370-380whp.

I still can't get over that this kit made 73.4whp (peak) more than the old kit at pretty much the same boost level - its the power of a good turbo! Thanks to Blue and his buddies at Garrett to help size this beast.

If I were to ever track it, it would probably be setup similar. I think I could push 400whp with a different exhaust system on 91-octane.
In any case, a dyno is an 'estimate' of actual power which can easily be 5% to 10% more under more ideal conditions and actual air-flow through the IC. A liquid-air IC like Scalbert's would have provided higher #'s.

So someone who did a setup like this in street trim would expect around 380-390rwhp with exhaust and pump gas? OR would the power be less?
A cousin of mine with a CLS is very interested in doing a turbo kit..

Again, congrads on the accomplishment.

Shawn showed me the dyno for a G35C with the Greddy TT kit boosting 8.5psi and it made more torque at 3K RPM, but about 50whp less. The extra 300cc and the >2psi of boost can explain the torque... but the CL-S would walk away from 5K to 7K
I'd like to make 100whp more than the greddy TT kit on a Z or G35C at 8.5psi
