If you open and save your videos with windows movie maker first it will shrink the size about 1/5 the size before uploading.
Making for faster uploads.
And get that thing to the track,so you and everyone can see the gains as you make them from time to time.
video's are good but,you can't beat slips.

Got the first "issue" today as I was on my way home. I decided to take a few friends for a thrill ride today and after dropping them off, I realized that my temp gauge was reading about 70% and had to turn my heater on momentarily to quickly bring the temps down. While doing this, I looked over to the laptop and it said there were 350 knocks recorded on cylinder 1! By the time I got home, that number moved up to 460 knocks. I could feel some sort of a misfire under boost and any tall gear (high load) and the misfire would disappear once the RPMs were brought up and a lower gear was selected. I presume I have an ignition or fuel related issue on that cylinder because the issue lightened up and then eventually disappeared when I was a few miles from home. I have yet to review the datalog but Im putting my $$$ on a coil falling out under high heat. Meth kit will be installed tomorrow as I finally received the damn nylon tubing so this should help with any latent detonation issues that could be happening as well as help with the overall heat load on each cylinder.
I'll keep you guys posted. Kind of hoping for something to make me go into high gear on another engine build because I have some wild ass ideas for this nextone.

Just noticed that both my IAT and ECT's were very high during the area with the most recorded knocks on cylinder 1. As I mentioned, this symptom was greatly alleviated by a reduction in both of these temps so that tells me that my initial presumption of a bad coil could be correct...maybe even an injector as well. I'm sure the heat soak at that time was too much for the weak electrical component so I may have to just toss in another coil now instead of waiting for the symptom to reoccur because that could be difficult. That is unless the engine gets very hot again. I will add an aluminum radiator soon with shroud and also reverse the fans polarity so they push the air out rather than directing all of the heat onto the engine.
Here a screenshot of the datalog that's highlighting the moment that numerous knocks were recorded. You can see in the display that my IAT and ECT's were crazy high when this occured. My IAT's are normally around 100 degrees and the ECT at 220 or so:

Great news, it was oil from a bad valve cover seal that had leaked down into the spark plug and was causing the misfire (knock). Whew!
That was a relief BUT Im still taking precautions and doing the things I mentioned above to help with the heat issue.

Shot a quick video today after work on a VERY long bridge and just wanted to show you guys the power, acceleration and sound this thing produces.
Also, after I went back later and looked at the details of the datalog, I did nearly most of the run in the video at only 75% throttle and a max of 8.2psi as shown in the picture below. You can also see a section in the screenshot and the video where I let off...this was because I thought I had seen a cop. FALSE ALARM.
And then the video...
edit- the file name says 140 run but it was actually 128mph tops.

Like a "tank"? What are you really saying bud?! Lol
Yeah, turbo manifolds are shitty...REAL shitty...and they hinder performance. Guess thats why it pulls like a "tank".

Remember bro, I'm not LSD here. Come to think of it, I've heard many times that the 07-08 TL-S auto isn't LSD, but I've never even looked to see how many marks are in my rearview mirror after a BBQ. Just seems silly that Acura wouldn't put it on a 300 horse motor.

^ How about like a jet.
I wonder if lsd can be swapped in non lsd.
I can spin 1st 2nd, spray in 2nd and then spin 3rd auto non lsd.
I have done it but, I don't want to kill the trans so once was enough, just wanted to see if it would.
I can't be in 3rd driving and break loose though.
atleast not on the nt05's.

As long as we're talking about that really fast train in Japan, sure. Who knows, maybe after lifting this governor, I could put a whoopin' on that little choo-choo train.
I know LSD can be added to non-LSD on manual transmissions. But, I have no clue if it would work in the AT case. The differential on the 07-08 TL does look ALOT like the diff on the 6MT...lightbulb!
Matt, you're such a Glockenspiel, GAWD!

I would love to tuck these wheels MOAR but until I fab something up to protect my downpipe, I can't. I've already made a few skid pads (10 gauge steel sheet) that I contoured to the downpipes shape but neither lasted long at all. I haven't hit it since then but fabbing one from 1/8" steel is actually on the agenda for today. Once that's down, coil overs will be ordered and fenders will be rolled.
No I don't man, I wish I did though. I've looked at the Acura parts diagrams as well as AllData and both the auto diffs and manual diffs looked very similar in both size and design shape.
I think I remember going through all of this right before the swap took place and Acurenews.com said that ONLY the 6mt had limited slip for the 07-08 models.

....I'd put my dollar on the lost weight.
Thanks Greg! Seen your motor on J-swapped last night. I know I'm a little late but bro, that thing looks GOOD man! Keep it up and you may even keep up with us boosted guys.
Btw, did you see the pic they posted on the J-swapped group page at the top?

Your cams were going to be used in my 3.7 build that was destined for my 03 TL-S (avatar picture) but now that I'm planning on building a more "boost specific" motor for the Accord, it may end up in it instead. Undecided right now as there's an 09 TL 3.5 engine I've had my eye on for $750 with 0 miles which would also be nice and allow me to continue the TL-S 3.7 build.
Especially when they've spent all their money on a proper turbo setup instead...

Looks Good!!
You do have the very best cams, IMO, that have been produced for this motor. Even though it is 6 years old, Acura, as far as I know, has not made a hotter one yet. If my memory serves me, in 2005, the RL was initially advertised with 310hp. That suddenly changed in 2006 and the hp rating was down. I think they even on paper lowered the HP rating on the 05 to meet some gentleman agreement between luxury automakers not to go over 300. Part numbers changed for the next year and the price per cam was significantly less in 06. Honda did a lot of R&D on those.
Anyway, you will have fun with the boost. If I can offer one suggestion, I used it and worked well for me, convert your windshield washer reservoir to a methanol one and plumb into your intake pipes methanol injection. When my CL was boosted, I got tired of putting av gas in it all the time, CAT was removed, and used straight methanal injection, and I could run premium pump gas. so much cheaper and worked very well, no knocks.
Once you get it tuned better, you will break the tires loose in 3rd. And I have proof.
See my parts for sale.

If I could make a recommendation on the suspension, I would for the same price go with either eibach's drag springs (or your typical sport springs for comfort) and a set of name brand shocks. I honestly believe this setup would be a better fit than the FF's for the kind of quality of work you've already put into this amazing machine. Best of luck.
