I know a lot of you guys and girls have fast cars, but how fast have you gone.

 

I guess I can't post a thread like this and not answer it myself. 140 mph

I've hit 120 in the CLS before, but I won't go over that on public highways.

My last car, a 94 Tbird V8, was electronically limited to 110mph... where the CLS has a cutoff of 149mph (or so).

 

147 then the governor kicked in.

125 in the Eclipse, hit an aerodynamic brick wall.

 

About 125.

 

just a hair under 120 in my CL-S .. havent really tried

130 in my 94 camry ... when she had over 175k miles on her (and multiple times before - miss that car)

and 156 on my old 735i ... a dozen years ago on the baltimore beltway at around 3am ... (rev limiter)

My VW saw 160+ several years ago on the I-5... that was intense

 

130+ in my GTP...although its kind of hard to tell because my gauges only read up to 115, but I've pinned the needle itself well past that, and it was still pulling.

181 in my civic racing a S/C-NOS M3 Evolution.. this was in 1996 - we used his speedo to determine how fast as mine was pointing straight down and going back towards 0!

14x in my CL (gets there the quickest! )

My friends said 130+. I was looking at the road and not my speed.

 

149 or so in my cls. right around 165 in my chrysler 300g.

 

160-165 in a 1970 dodge charger 440 6pak with 323 gears. no shit.

 

176 in 2003 Viper, and 147 in 1999 Camaro SS

 

65 mph.

 

186+ in my 911 and on my Carbon Fibre GSX-R 1000

How fast do jets go right before they take off?? Love that, and the smell of jet fuel

 

140 in the cls when i first got it. felt like I was lifting off the ground...much more planted after i lowered it
