No "catbacks", just "Axle-backs"!!!

If you want "quite", then stay with STOCK, anfd save your $$$$ !!!

Okay . . . Cat back OR axle back, who has the quietest exhausts . . . All I really want to do is lose the stock oval tips & stay stealthy.

I hate to tell you this, but they will all be louder than stock unless you engineer a custom solution.

I used to have the Comptech Exhaust..I only bought it because I got it for around 200 bucks. I decided it wasn't even worth putting it on so I sold it. The guy I sold it to keeps in touch daily and he felt the exhaust noise was a bit too loud. So he modified it a bit by cutting the tips and extending it about 1-2 inches and welded the tips back on. It definitely sounds quieter and looks are about the same until you look under the bumper. He has a TL by the way...

I have talked to a couple of people who have the Mugen exhaust, and they notes that it is just about about as loud as stock. When you actually gun the car, they mentioned you can hear it a little more then stock. When I get it installed I will record the sound for you guys.

Mugen is said to be quieter than stock. For the price, they better be pretty damn quiet.

If you need more info, post on http://www.acura-tl.com I know of a few people that have the Mugens.

Tim the administrator and admin of http://www.autocarparts.com had them on his TL for a while.

My suggestion to you, however is to buy just the tips. You're gonna spend a bucketload of money for cosmetics.

Good ideas everyone! Thanks!

Anyone know who sells the "tips" only?
