we got really lucky with the headers. i highly doubt that you will have a reliable turbo kit with those. we havent had anyone i know of that has this several people have mentioned it but no one ever picked it up. if you really want to be a guini pig get it.

i honeslty wouldnt trust it.... the headers are one thing cuz u know its just headers, but a Turbo kit has so many technical aspects to it that if one small thing goes wrong, then its kaput.!

I wouldnt trust them. A TL owner was working on having a kit made, XS stole the design and teh fit and finish was really cheap

Blow off valves on those things will go out in two days from what I've heard. It gives good low end power and then craps out. It's no good! if you want something that will not break and give you power throughout the entire RPM range save up your money and build your own.

Since Comptech's experiencing difficulty with their business , I'd say wait for the "clearance sale" and get one of their superchargers instead .

Apparently the turbo kit XS sells isn't even complete, and if you don't know what you're doing, things can go bad real quick.

As for as I know it's junk. Doesn't fit right, & it's not complete., There's no direct fit kit made for the CL/TL. Have to do custom.
You want fit out of the box get the CT supercharger. And I would not hold out for any "sale" it's not going to happen from CT. Maybe some store that has 2 lying on a shelf with dust on them may sell them cheap, but doubtful.

Junk. Go with a custom kit if you want. XS power makes some rather low quality stuff. As mentioined above, the BOV will die rather easily, as well as other problems. I've seen it first hand at my mechanics shop. Dude with a dc2 constantly coming in because of problems with his turbo.

you're better off going custom or ct supercharger. Xs is good for our headers, but their turbo kits are cheap their manifolds crack and have to be braced, bovs die rather quickly and wastegates get stuck open or don't function and cause some costly damage, I have had first hand experience with them with my old integra and will never do it again.

Ohh BTW, don't waste your time with them, I read that turbo thread a while ago where the TL owner got his kit idea stolen by this company. They are sheisty and you do not want to deal with them.

Yup, that's half the kit of what Speedr73 made. All the purchaser has to do is get the rest of the parts.

Honestly, it's half of a kit...no one else has tried doing it. It makes you wonder who's gonna do it first?

Ryan's kit )Speedr73( is actually very well done. I've seen it many times, and helped with it a couple times. If anything, buy his kit. He put a lot of time and effort into building it.

I never had problems with the quality of the pipes, but I will say the design is flawed. You won't be able to do a drop without cutting out the flange...1000 is a little high for what you are gettting. You still have to get the IC piping which will be at least another 400. Not counting: Injectors, Emanage, sensors (wideband, etc.) And the T70 he puts in the kit spools at about 4500rpm at 6psi...gt35r guys were seeing like under 3k at 6-7psi.

Find a good shop and the extra money now for pipes will be worth it in the long run. If I only learned one thing during this build, is that don't skimp on anything. It will cost you double or more later.

honestly I wouldn't buy anything from them besides the pipes.

here is what I posted about modifying the pipes on another forum:

honestly I think it's a great deal as it saves a lot of money on the exhaust piping, and hte amount of money to modify it to work properly would be pretty low also. I'd say another $200-400 to get it modified to work better.

What I would do is leave the U shaped pipe alone, that's teh one that goes from teh two aftermarket headers together and has a connector near the pront for another pipe that goes to the turbine inlet.

Then I would modifiy the pipe that goes from the U pipe to the turbine inlet so that it would scoot the turbo towards the firewall a little bit, and I would rotate the turbo 180 degress so that the compressor filter faces the front of the car.

Then I would either modify, or make a completely new downpipe for after the turbine that goes over the transmission, and down the backside of hte engine to meet up with the catalytic convertor. You would have to heatwrap the **** out of it to prevent any melting wires or hoses or anything. I think that's a much better design than the stolen design used by ssautocrap that has the downpipe after the turbo almost dragging on the ground.
no offense to speedr73 for the design bash.

that was my first design, so none taken...I spoke with RICH at SS Autochrome about this well over a year ago. This kit he is selling to everyone was supposed to be a first edition so-to-speak, to allow me to test fit. Since he has the worst communication skills I have ever seen, though, I was never able to modify and get back with him. The last time we spoke, was him telling me he sent one set of pipes and that was it.

I WILL BE CONTACTING A LAWYER ABOUT THOSE PICTURES ON EBAY. WE ALL KNOW THOSE ARE MY PICS. I CAN PROVE IT SINCE THEY ARE STILL ON THE ACTUAL CAMERA THAT TOOK THEM, AND THEY ARE ON THE THREAD THAT I CREATED.

If there are any lawyers out there that can help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey you guys, I asked the people selling that turbo kit that was ripped off of speedr73.

I asked if it fits the 3.2 CL/TL...they say

Sorry, this is for a 3.0L. Thank you for your inquiry.

On the ebay page, starting a $525 and they say it comes with a t3/t4. In the pic it looks like a t3/t4 and I think I see the Garrett badge. Also on the page they say if you buy them and install them to take pictures and they will refund you 25% of the price you paid.

????????? Sorry if they jacked you and I hope you get justice.

So wait...that kit is for the 3.2s as well? LoL...I guess I'm a lil puzzled.

The accord 3.0 is the same as our 3.2. J30A v. J32A...notice how headers fit on both cars...the kit will fit on both.

I'll tell you this though...the design is built completely off my 99TL, so at least (theoretically), it will fit ours and not the accord. But it should fit both. This is why I had such a problem with him though. He never communicated, and I only got one kit. How can I test fit 3+ cars with only one kit. No way I'm going to install and uninstall. Noone will loan a car out for that.

Also, if someone does decide to buy that kit from them, please give them pics and get the discount. I only care that my pics aren't used. I want no liability if someone f#$%& up their car because they did something based on my pics, and it gets back to me.

The kit is his legally, but since what you see in those pics is a prototype, someone could easily mess something up if they aren't familiar with it. Or worse yet, I will be bombarded with questions on why or how to do something. I don't want to mess with all that.

I never got a chance to change the pipes...Although I also didn't get the opportunity to lower my car and have a stiffer suspension which is needed with more power.

One guy over on the accord site bought the kit and cut the lower flange out and rewelded the pipes together...which is why I am telling the buyer of my kit to do this...it gave him another inch or so of clearance. He has pics on his thread.

I have bought blk2001tlon19s' manifold and downpipe, which, IMO is the best setup so far. It allows for 3" downpipe, and a very short run to the turbo (quicker spooling). He made 318whp at 6psi and auto tranny.

You sure it was XS Power...might be Turbo XS or XS Engineering...there isn't much to feature with XS Power since everything he sells is a copy of something popular, and I mean everything. The intercooler in that kit went down something like this, "Rich, I need an intercooler for this kit, but you don't have it..." he says, "Just find the one you want, tell me how much you need and send it to me." So what you see is a Spearco copy. He doesn't design anything.
