Tonight sucked...
Well I went out to the track hoping I would break my 14.6 1/4 mile time and only got disapointed. It was almost 90 with 97 % humidity, and it sucked. I ran 4 times, 2 runs at 14.9 and to runs at 15.0. Fucking sucks. Our car does not like hot nasty weather.

Well I just came back from the track as well... Well Calvin, after you left, I ran several more times.... and I did managed to run a 15.11 at the last run with reaction time at 0.501.... I was like DAMN! But other than that, I ran, 15.36, 15.38, 15.51, 15.20.... Well with the temp this hot and humid, I am already satified with my times, I am happy... hehe... Calvin, its ok, try again next weekend, it will be cooler!

hey guys-
this is bad news since it's just going to get hotter and a LOT more humid!! you have to figure that it affects other cars in our area the same way tho! ...c'mon now, it's not like you're really THAT slow! heh, heh

90 degrees and near 100% humidity -- it is not like the weather was giving you a break.
IMO -- my car feels a lot slower in last Summer's 90 degree weather (and the humidity was WAY down).
I got a question from/about the humidity and I think the calc said that it dropped the HP by 5 hp or so.
Try this calc (if you wish) and plug in your numbers from the night. I think you were being punished big time by the temp and humidity...

I thought about it for a while and I think I may know why my times were so bad. I normally use D3 but this time I only used it on my first run and I fucked up on that run big time because my VSA was on. The rest of the times I ran I was in D1 and shifted @ 6400 - 6600 RPMs. I was thinking I would get the best times that way because after seeing peoples dynos that's when there gains started to fall. Well that was stupid of me to think that. You still are going to be way above what you would be at if you shift, even at 7400 RPMs. I am going to go out there next weekend and give it another try. Should be the same weather from the looks of things.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. No car likes humid weather. Not to mention, the same car and same track can produce different results on different days. For example, my friend took his Z28 to the track last October and got a 12.5. He took it to the same track a few weeks ago and the best he could do was 13.0. But it really depends on the conditions. The 12.5 was on a beautiful day in the 70s with very low humidy. The 13.0 was on a 55 degree day with near 100% humidy and it had been raining earlier in the day. He (and everyone else) were having problems getting traction off the start. Anyway, I think I'm rambling now, but my point is that you probably could get those faster numbers in a future outing to the track, so don't worry about it too much.
