Test DUMP pipe

Okay guys, sorry about the delay, this is my busy season.

I have been working on this for what seems like a 7 months... I finally found a guy in Ohio that is willig to make these specifically for our cars... I know.. I know.. Price.. good question... direct bolt on with everything shipped to your door will be roughly around $200.00 give or take, but IT IS NOT a FINAL PRICE YET.
Your looking at the 2nd stage of a Dave Hacker custom dump set-up made just for our cars. All I need to do is get the flanges on both ends tacked on and I will ship it back to Dave so he can set a jig up and weld everyones the same, unless you wish to weld the flanges on your self.... He custom made the flanges so the dump can be rotated any which way I choose...I will know more when I break away and get them tacked on after I take the CAT off.

The dump is made out of T304 Stainless steel and it will be a direct bolt on to replace the CAT., we even incorprated a BUNG for the O2 sensor.
The cap comes with the system so you can take the electronic dump off in the winter if you wish (you just unbolt and unplug the power to it)... the stainless steel hardward, used with antiseize compound will be more than enough when your ready to take the dump off and put the CAT back on if you have emissions in your STATE/county... most guys put the switch hidden somewhere by their shifter and they grab 12V of power from the cig. lighter.

Mind you, We have not DYNOED MY car yet with this system, but some of the N/A guys whom experimented with a STRAIGHT PIPE found they lost low end torgue... THIS IS NOT A STRAIGHT PIPE... this DUMPS the hot exhaust gases 4 inches after it leaves the Headers/exhaust manifold downpipe.... the gases do not need to travel throughout the rest of the exhaust system...... Hence, i would not mind lossing some low end torgue since my car is a beast to try and launch!!... this was the whole idea.. but my top end should pick up atleast 10-15 more HP...allowing me to get the tach the climb even faster.....YIPPEEEE... more speed please!!.... and not to get too far ahead of myself, we are working on an electronic set-up so when the car hit 5600 RPM the dump will automatically open up..(but that is further down the road)

It will be very loud when open 100%!!... the toggle switch that comes with the set-up lets you open the 2.5 inch dump within 3 seconds and vise versa... you can open it 25%, 50%,75% or whatever you wish.... when your ready to scare the living POOP out of the guy sitting at the light revving at you...(this should be alot of fun)

PLEASE PAY Attention to this:.... the pics your about to see are a TEST pipe, they are not the welds that will be performed... The TIG welds will be just like COMPTechs (look like a roll of silver dollars)... I hope to have this done in the next coming weeks and then I will give you guys all the ordering information.... I am not making anything off of this... I am just taking the appropraite steps to try and get you guys more POWER... nothing more.. so if your not happy with something, Dave Hacker (the gentleman you will be purchasing off of) will be handling it... NOT ME...

The end for now..

Will this be just as effective for NA cars as well as FI? Also is it a DIY bolt-on install or is this something better left for a shop?

He states above "direct bolt-on shipped to your door"..

I'm more then willing to dedicate my car for testing on the NA cars. I need some headers first though..

GOOD JOB SMITTY..!

looks pimp for $200, wouldnt mind losing the low end torque for some hp gains. By the way how loud are we talking, and is it a nice sound.

We are talking OPEN exhaust LOUD.... When I get it on I will make sure I find Chikai and he takes a sound clip video with his camera...

Before I was FI'ed, I wanted one just to scare the living POOP out punks who pulled up next to me revving their FART cans.... If I point it to the passenger side it should make them go deaf!!......this is going to be BADASS...

Sit tight.. I hope to have this all paned out in a few weeks... say some prayers that people stop dying on me so I get this done..

What about Pennsylvania's new emission laws? Even new cars get a visual check to make sure that your CAT is there and a few other things? The exhaust system has to contain the same components as the original system had.

Am I right? And this all begins next month.

You might be right.... but then again, i am not running around town with this thing WIDE open all day.... It is for special occassions....Track purposes and some fun on the side..

I knew someone would come along and try and ruin the fun...LOL... this is not for Everyone.... just the badass crew that likes to take chances and cause some trouble...

Mind you, I researched this relentlessly.... that is why i made it all of Stainless (including the hardware) and a DIRECT FIT... so it can be taken off and on as many times as you wish....hint.. hint.. Inspection time....

for $200 losing some torque and gaining top end power...forget all that! Ill take this baby just for the sound, especially if we can control sound volume. Now the question is, how easy it it to put the stock CAT back on, before i bring the car into the dealer?

Very, very nice!!!

How much does this beast weigh? This might be a nice mod for the spring. Maybe by then, you will have the switch timing option worked out.

Nice work!!

Direct bolt right back on... 3 bolts on 1 Flange and 3 on the other, after you simple unplug the dump.... but seriously, do you think the dealership is not going to work on your car if you have one on when you go in?

Maybe, we are not 100% sure yet...

But if the need arises I have a guy who builds them for me for 50 bucks....

This is the SIM... it tricks the O2 sensor... casper electronics sells it too, but Brad (Modaddict) agreed with me since the ones I got built have red LEDS built into them so you know they are working.. 1 LED flashes ever 3.3 seconds and the other is constant power...this way we know the unit is working properly!!.. I can provide instructions if you wish to TRY and build your own.. but I have a local retired TV repair man that loves to knock these out in about 4 hours time... 30 for parts and 20 for labor.. you CAN'T BEAT THAT with a 10 foot pole!!!!!

Don't worry fellas after this is all done I will have a whole package worked out and a break down of all the parts...

I did not discuss a final cost with Dave Hacker yet... but he will do anything if the task at hand is RESEARCHED 100%, the guy hates when people GUESS measurements!!...

I just got an e-mail from him... Dave states--->...."Hey, take it easy. Your out of control. I wont be doing much for the next few weeks anyway. The wife has laid the law down on me. Stop working for the holidays or else. I dont like her or else's. So get it done when you can NO RUSH "...

your asking for just the torrington ball bearing flapper valve?

or are you asking for this .. so you can weld it in yourself???

Dave quoted me a price when I first started around 150-200 for the entire set-up.... I will have break downs in costs later..

Ok so someones gonna have to break this down for me. I understand the whole concept but Im still unsure of its total benefits. Of course this can only benefit you more with the more mods you have but are additional mods necessary to make this an effective mod. Basically, is this mod going to really do something with only CAI?

And smitty I love it painted black
