Superbrightleds.com SUCKS!!!!!
Yeah, so I replaced pretty much EVERY bulb in and out of my car with LED's from "Superbrightleds.com" not even a month ago, and one by one they're all going out. It started with a twitch or flicker, then a day or two later it became more of a strobe pattern, and sure enough a day or so after that, they burnt outt completely!!! I can't believe how shitty those bulbs are. It's a damn shame too, because they really looked awesome for the month or so that they were in. Anyone know another company/website that makes LED bulbs that are maybe
gaurenteed to last longer than a month and NOT burn out. Please share the wealth if you do!!!

Try contacting the dude, he seemed pretty nice..My bulbs lasted about a year or so, I wasn't going to replace them with LEDs again, I don't think they put out much light and it seems like they only shoot the light downward for me. Like I can't even use the reading lights any more.
some of my superbrightleds.com bulbs are working strong until this day (about 3 years), and a few have burnt out. contact the guy, in such a short period they might offer replacements. i've had nothing but good experience and communication from them.
I use them. And I can agree & disagree. See I got all the lights for my Explorer. Some of those had that problem. But the ones in my Acura have been good for months & months.
So I
I did contact them & I did get free replacements.
For the brightness...You need to get the 12 LED bulbs for brightness. Anything less then those for interior lights will not be usable.

I bought two LEDs for my license plate light and one burned out after about two months and the other only 3 of the 6 LEDs light up. I'm not upset though, you kinda have to expect that when you buy really inexpensive parts, but if he's willing to replace them, then I'd do it.

make your own! i made 8x white 5mm wide angle 10000mcd LEDS into wedge bulbs. The base came from some left over plastic bits that came from a gundam model kit haha. I made the stem alil longer so you can bend and adjust the direction of the light. I have them for the license plate and they are absolutely awesome. They are so much brighter than the 3mm LEDS you might get off ebay etc. Next logical step I want to try out are lumileds K2 or luxeon star LEDS. I bought 3x 1watt LED flashlights from costco that use luxeon stars and I think they would look great as roadlamp bulbs. They are so bright and look just as good as true HIDs. I will take them apart and attach them to an LED driver or even simpler a voltage regulator.

I bought some 5 led bulbs off of EBAY and they are also starting to fail. Either on, off or flashing (yea that wont draw any attention from the cops)
I also always thought that LED's lasted 10+ years so I don't understand what is failing... is it the electronics/conversion for the power?

One of two things might have happened. Either the resistors used were under rated for the application (as in for a 12v constant connection with the vehicle running off the battery alone rather than 14v running with the alternator). Or, the solder connections came loose and shorted the LED out. Or, a combination of the two. Most LED replacement bulbs I see being sold are actually only rated for 12v applications, though, when you're driving around in your car, the alternator is producing 14v power to all the electronics inside and outside. If you were just sitting in the parking lot w/o the engine running, this would work perfectly. Your battery would go dead running all your fancy LED bulbs long before the LEDs themselves would burn out. Except, no one ever does that, so the LEDs are being fed 2v extra, which they cannot handle for long periods of time. All the LEDs you buy from superbrightleds.com and autolumination.com, or ebay, or any other place you can find them, probably all come from the same place from the same manufacturer. Now, ask me why they're all rated for only 12v instead of 14v.

So I just got a ticket for crappy LEDs in my road lamps (from ebay not superbrightleds)
Police officer actually said he could have given me a misdemeanor ticket for impersonating a police officer since the LED's looked like police strobes the way they were flashing on and off.I don't mind paying even 20 bux a pop for the LEDs if I know they will last, I just have no idea where to find them.

I second that statement...I will use them as long as they are open. Maybe you should contact them and try to strike a deal with them. All my bulbs have lasted. I produce great lighting.
