All you have to do is remove the trim on either side of the center console and remove some screws = you just removed your stock headunit

yes, wood trim first lol the trim covers all the screws. once you remove the trim it is easily seen as a "remove/replace" type of situation....or at least thats how I see most things lol

I didn't install my deck myself but from the instructions on my Metra Kit and other sources...

You had to remove the center console.

If you don't have to...I think that is something a lot of installers don't know.

They removed mine when they installed my deck and I didn't install mine because of that reason.

you have to disassemble the center console. first remove the interior trimming and start taking off all the screws you see, if i remeber the center glove and cupholder have to be unbolted

Yes you have to go by the FAQ. I watched as an installer did it once and I did it myself the second time rather than pay someone else to do it again. Its not that bad once you get the hang of it.

You have to take that out because its holding down part of the console that is holding the headunit in. If you don't unscrew that part you won't be able to take the headunit out.

Boomer, just checked my phone messages and by now you no doubt figured out that yes this is a Honda/Acura harness soldered and shrink wrapped so you are good to go. Good luck w/ the install.
