Congrats on the new times! Just for reference when I ran the 12.5@112 my 1/8 mile times was 8.1@90 with a 1.8 60ft. I was still on the oem clutch setup and had some slippage problems but it still ran decent when it did grab. I'm curious what your 1/4 mile et and trap would be?!?! I bet it's most likely in the high 12's! Congrats again keep up the good work!

Wasn't that with +200 shot and slicks ?

For those who don't drag and want a idea how fast the car is.
I think fox was running the same 1/8 times as me with 145 shot, custom headers, fully bolted and slicks.
Atleast thats what I seen on drag times.

I got work to do to get 8.1's N/A but,8.2's are next for sure with the sunroof shut and a light weight lithium battery

After double checking the jets after at the time it was only about a 110 shot give or take a little. I was using the wrong chart. They weren't true slicks but they were very close. They were a dot approved tire mounted on oem 02 cl-p wheels. I think one of my main problems at the time was my oem clutch it sucked horribly lol. Regardless you are very close and those are some good et's you cut n/a.

Trying to get quicker everyday.
I think these tires will do better 60fts as weather gets warmer but I really need something stickier so I can leave with all it's got.
I am getting better 60fts because I'm getting better at babying it off the line

Some bs today,

I've been looking up and down for days for a light weight battery and just took a bad loss on ebay for a lithuim pro c925.
I put my opening bid 225 with max bid 400 and somebody won it with a 227.50.
WTF really, Its like a 1200 dollar battery.

Since I lost the other battery.
I guess I had to buy a new one.
4.2lb lithium pro c680 on the way.
Soon to be another 17lbs lighter. If it's small enough I will be removing the oem battery tray as well.

Do you plan on removing the moonroof and associated assembly?

I looked at lithium batteries previously just thought they were to expensive. The prices will go down a lot next few years, plus I replace batteries too often.

How about mounting the battery inside in a battery box or in the trunk? The extra heavy wires might make it not worth it.

Not sure about removing the sunroof stuff yet.
How much does all the sun roof stuff weigh ?
I wonder how much would be saved by just replacing the glass with some thing lighter so I could lose weight and still be able to use the sun roof too.

Stock cls ecu
The runners were out recently so I probally wiped them out.
I do get some oil in the mani but,I have cleaned it out 3-4 times within 5k miles so it stays clean.
I should get a catch can.

Sunroof weighs 40-50 lbs total weight. The glass should be somewhere around 10 lbs. I don't think it is worth just trying to remove the glass. I would say all or nothing.

You can just block off the erg or use a spacer like one Paul makes. Then add a catch can. My tv and intake have been spotless since then.

40-50lbs from the top would be a huge gain in performance.
Most likely less weight transfer from a dead stop and definitly better turns.

When I removed my sunroof and everything with it, it came closer to a total weight of 75-80lbs. I'd have to look up one of my old threads for the exact number. I was actually surprised back then when I weighed it.

When i removed the moonroof on my prelude everything totaled in at 42lbs if i remember correctly (i then welded in a piece of metal to fill the hole, i did it more for head room with a helmet, which i gained about a inch and a half)

Since I swaped to aftermarket hid's I had one still left on a lamp.
I removed one and sealed the hole but the other I never did.
Now the other is removed and sealed.

75-80.
If that thing was 80lbs I would rip it out in a second.

Crappy ebay sellers,I can find them that's for sure.
3 days after my battery was to be here. I got a order cancellation for the battery. This is 10 days from order date and seller said the item was on back order.

Payment was refunded .Now I got a 2nd chance to decide if I really want to spend over 5 beans on a battery.

It was like I was waiting for x mas to come.
I hate waiting for something.
The lithium pros will not be instock till at least the 1st and thats to frig'n long.

Only 2 batterys that I can have to my door before I go the the track that I might be interested in are

11lb braille ,wich I dont even know why I'm considering it.

4.9lb shorai lfx36 wich it's not recomended for cars.

shipping is pretty rough with it having to be overnighted+saturday since I missed todays cut off time.
but I need something.

wich one?
I'm leaning to the shorai because of weight.

Decided on the shorai

Started the car right up,so it's got the power.
Need to drive the car for a hour to see how it deals with the alt.
Also have to see how it handles the cars parastic draw over night.

If the battery can't deal with the above it will be a race day battery only.

The battery is holding up so far.
I've been out on 3 30minute drives and don't see any ill charging problems yet.
This morning I went out to try the battery in the cold and it was high 30's and the car started right up.

Great way to lose 25lbs+ over a oem size battery.

I've been considering figuring out a light weight alt and starter.
There has to be something to use that will save some poundage.

Oem seats are already gone.
I have one 24lb drivers seat only.
I don't think I've even taken pics of the interior since the strip down because I've been to lazy to clean the residue from the sound deadener.
I will take a couple though when it stops raining.
I need to make a item list of items removed. Their really is not much left to remove

There is always more to do, just matters how far you take it. Clean up that residue already. If I was you I would put the airbag cover back in the dash for looks reasons.

You can remove those metal brackets for the dash console. A lot of wiring can be removed. Are you driving it without the cross members? Those are structural.

I'm just about as far as I'm going to take the weight removal till I get another car.
Besides getting lighter pieces.
I did want to put the airbag cover back on and I ment to ask you about it.
I was nervous messing with it.
I do want to remove all the srs wiring and wiring for the rear amp if possible but I'm not sure how much else of that will be removed.

The car does not see hardly any street time besides back and forth to the track wich is only 5miles away.
So any structual pieces are removed including bumper beams.

Could not get no traction today being 44 degrees.
But,I did trap 88.2 mph in the 1/8.

Can't wait for a warm day I will run low 8.2 possibly even crack 8.1's with a few more lbs off.
