That car is ridiculously hot! Very cleanly modified.
In reference to the original post anywhere from 25-35% should be fine. However if you're tinting them via paint you wont be able to measure percentage, just apply in light coats til you achieve the level of tint and functionality you want.

thnx... new design coming up. ronjon rear lip and a wind diffuser in the front . and projector fogs most likely . and front bumper might come out looking different .
to the orig post, are you tinting 01-02 tails or the 03?

spray... cleaner, shinier because u can wax it, and the vinyl sometimes doesnt cover the whole tail light, especially if your a first timer. Also, tint the white portion alittle too. im going to do that, it adds definition to the tails, and doesnt keep the white sticking out.. more subtle. also spraying gives you more flexibility on how dark or light you want.

spray is wat ppl refer to as clearcoat... i think... thats wat i refer spray as... the shop should know what they are doing. it will be shiny like your normal paint job on the car. u treat it like a paint job on the car also. you wax the tails with the body lol...

just make sure they dont get a orange peel look on the tails, if they do, it will look like little sqaures when the light turn on... if so ask for it to be sanded and buffed

here is what kind of gloss you will get
thats 01 tails....
this is what it looks like on the 03, but the car is dirty so yeah... not as glossy but the picture above will give you a idea on how glossy it would be. dont mind the bumper... only time i took pics of the 03 tails from behind close up lol >_<

uh... didnt cost me much... i own a shop... so yeah... but on the 01 tails i did 3 coats... the 03 i did like 5 coats, but sanded a coat so 4. should only cost about 80-100. but nothing more.

uh its really just they add a few drops of black into the clear, then from there do one coat, then u see what it looks like, then if u want it darker and the first coat was really light, then add a few more drops of black into the clear and do another coat, then if its getting pretty dark to where u can notice it, then just add severall coats till u like the shade.... just make sure they dont make the first or second coat too dark. just do light shades of coats till u like it... cause one u take it out from the booth and look, it might be too dark and u might want it lighter. Then you can sand down coats from there till u get a shade u like. GL
