Shaking window on the way down

I posted this before, my driver's window is getting really annoying when I open it.... It shakes/vibrates and makes noises as it goes down...on the way up it seems smooth. My passenger window was doing the same thing and they replaced window regulator, seemed to fix a problem....

Am I the only one having this anoying issues with windows? it really bothers me cause I love smooth windows, after all this is $30K car, not some Ford Focus or other sh*t....

I have a similar problem with my driver's window. It "hops" for the first quarter of the way down. Then it would be perfectly smooth after that. Going up, it's smooth...no problems. It annoys me too. I noticed that when it's cold, the window rolls down much more smoothly. Sometimes without any "hopping."

If someone has a solution to this problem, help us out.

Something that seemed to help my window roll smoothly, is to apply RainX or other glass protectant to the glass. This made the window slide really smoothly...like glass. It really made a difference but wears off.

I had the same problem

When I took my 2001 CL-S in for service I told them about the behavior and they replaced the window regulator to fix it. If your car is still under warranty, it should be covered.

I was having the same problem on the drivers side, but it's gone away recently. Must be the cold weather like 1gCL said.

Damn...if you guys think that's bad...imagine the ceevics...my friend's ceevics, when it gets cold outside, the window rolls down so damn slow. It almost doesn't even go up.

Yep, when its cold it rolls down smooth, I noticed that also....
I'll try complaining to the dealer, the problem is that sometimes like you said it might roll down more or less OK, and sometimes hops on the way..... Seems like a common problem...
