Because of the mirror and reverse not working, you can assume the car isn't getting the signal for the reverse gear.

Are you 100% sure the reverse relay isn't faulty? Check the voltage to be absolutely sure.

Are your reverse lights coming on in any gear or parked?
Could be the netrual safety switch/range switch. does the car start only in park and neutral?

Check the switch on the gearbox? Haven't had it happen on my CL but many years ago the reverse switch went bad on my Legend 5 speed. On that there was one swicth for reverse and another for neutral. (Neutral signal went to ECU)

I seem to remember when the fuse popped for the reverse lights the instrument cluster lights dropped out too.

Looks pretty easy to see from above in that parts diagram. Should be under the intake tube from air filter to throttle body. My suggestion was just that, an idea of something to check. Check it for open or closed when car is in reverse etc. May not be bad? You need to check it first.
