Put Headers on my '03 CL-S today...
Whoa like everyone has said for years they produce nice gains, especially in the upper RPM ranges. I do have a working IMRC too. Once in VTEC the 3.2 pulls like a freight train to redline. I can't imagine what you S/C'ed guys must feel! The only hard part was the need to drop the entire system since I did this at home. The stock three bolts that hold the down pipe to the cat were rusted solid, I had to grind them off with my air cut off tool and a whizzer wheel. The Alpha Werks headers fit fine and the O2 sensor bung was in the right place. Never saw the rear header nuts, had to do it all by feel from above. Also, this job took from 11am to 4:30 pm in (stupid car nut me) 92 degree weather with 72% humidity. I fealt destroyed when finished but I'm glad it's done without any problems. It is idling low as I guess it is in the re-learn phase or whatever. Next, UR crank pulley.
Good stuff
Just finished putting mine on as well, and it does feel peppier already. Although after 3 days is when they will reach their full potential, once the computer has re-learned everything.
You never had headers on your TL?

Answers: Price $450 shipped; yes I had Comptech's on the TL which were great and still running strong; sound is alittle (5%) louder at all RPM's...at the upper ranges all I really hear is the CAI bellowing!
Damn. Did you happen to pick 'em up for Excelerate? $450 shipped is very very reasonable...
Has anyone had any problems with chipping or cracking Alphawerks headers yet?

The headers don't produce the big numbers until you are over 6,000rpm . . . and in most cases will have less on the very lowend.
The intake on the other hand will produce a nice gain across the entire powerband.

Yea take a look at the comptech dyno, theres about a 5hp gain from 4400 to 5600 and then at 5800 it starts going up from 17hp to 32hp at 6600.

So you don't feel the grunt of the headers below 6,000 @ all?
Cause damn. That's a lot of wasted gas.

No long term usage is going to be available... they have been out for like 10 months!

DAMMIT STEVE.

back on track. Congrats again on the headers purchase chuck.
I'll be in the market for some hopefully by the end of winter.
When So-cal temps are never lower than higher than 70, and never lower than 60.
