Question Problems after cleaning TB

Folks,
I finally cleaned my TB but ran into problems after putting everything together. Engine light is ON and after I rev it up, it seems to run between 1500 and 2000 RPM by itself....don't know what's going on...I tried to search if anyone has had such problems but didn't find any post....any help will be appreciated...
Thanks

disconnect your battery for 10-15 minutes, that'll reset your computer and everything will be back to normal. I just ran into this same exact problem couple weeks ago.

Lol, you didn't need to do much searching. I just started a post about this 3 days ago.

Question 1.) what did you use to clean throttle body. was it a liquid?

I had the same issue where rmp would jump back and forth and similar air sucking sounds and computer reset fixed it. try to read the code and see what it means.

This won't solve the problem, but it does sound like a vacuum line is disconnected somewhere. Also it could be that somehow the IAC may need adjusted.

But it may just be that some of hte stuff you used to clean it is still inside and is clogging up some of the sensors (throttle position sensor, Map sensor) and this is causing the issue. I just kept my car running for like 15 minutes till everything burned it's way out.

The IACV is bad. You might have to replace it. I had the same problem you're having last week. I replaced it and solved the idle lope. It is a known problem for the 01-03 CL, 99-03TL, older MDX and Oddessys. The new replacement IACV are supposedly improved over the old.

The IACV is not supposed to be adjusted. It' ECU controlled. If it was working before the TB removal then it shouldn't need to be adjusted.
Whatever you used to clean the TB may have damaged the sensor connector, or the TB gasket is not sealing right. Did you use a new gasket? Your suppose to after taking the TB off.

Not sure what the screw is for then? If it would never need adjusted why bother putting the screw on? I know most ECU work themselves out and get the idle back to 750 but oh well.

For testing purposes. The service manual tells you to adjust it to troubleshoot other problems. It's not often 1 would need to mess with it however.

Thanks Guys for your suggestions...i kept the car running for 15 minutes...took it around the block for 10 minutes...did not feel anything abnormal...may be its the leftover stuff in the TB as pits said...i will use the car for few days and find out if the problem goes away or i need to put in a new IAC sensor....i did change the gasket but it sounds like its most definitely the cleaning liquid that could have damaged the sensor if sensor turns out to be the problem...

This sounds like the beginning of the end for your IACV. Serveral months ago my idle problem started and after a few minutes of driving the problem went away. It happened again when I installed my Thermoblok spacers and again, after a few minutes of driving, it "Repaired" itself. Then last week it started to act up, but this time even after 25 minutes of driving and several re-starts, it never corrected itself. The valve imo failed completely and the only option was to replace it. There seems to be a pattern of the valve correcting itself a few times and then it would eventually stop functioning. I would just replace it and be done with it
