PIAA 19224 and 19225 are Awsome!

Ah... I just finished installing the PIAA bulbs 19924 and 19225

They're awesome! Bright like HID color... worth the $24 for both.

Just one word, why in the word the stock lamps are not PIAA Xtreeme whites?

I just installed the 19224s the other day too, and I wish i had done it a long time ago. I love the way the fogs look now.

typeR, I think Scooter just ordered some LED lights, I don't know what brand, but we should be seeing some pics soon.

hehe

congrats all

my PIAA's r still goin strong, my 19224's 1.5 years old this month

yes, i ordered LED's for the road lamps b/c i felt i should give them a shot...hopefully, they'll b arriving by the E-Town racemeet (if the weather holds), and i'll do some comparo pics after the competition for anyone interested...price-wise, they're less than $10 more than the 19224's, and that includes shipping...see, Autodynamic.com that sells the LED's charges hella less for USPS Priority Mail than OptAuto does for 19224's using UPS

i guess we'll let the pics dictate which is better

congrats again, and i hope u enjoy the bulbs as much as i, and many others, have

BTW, the LED's r OptiBlue's i think

Glad you like them!!!! I think they make a huge difference and have NO regrets!!! You should do all the interior lights as well!!! You will be amazed at the difference!!!

I got mine at www.optauto.com. The 19224s are for the fogs, and the 19225s are for the reverse lights. The 19172s go in the map lights, doors, licence plate, and trunk, and the 19223 is for the dome light. They all look very coo.

I bought those already and tried them in my lights. Due to the way the LED is designed, it needs to reflect to the back of the housing to it reflects out, the leds mainly shoot straight out. So I got MUCH less light out of the LEDs. I used them in my doors instead. :P

I tried some LED's in the fogs b/f I started my fog project. The color wasn't as close a match as the 19224/M6's. In fact, the color seemed too blue. One bulb also burned out in 3 days. I've heard alot of similar stories about exterior LED's having very short lives. Interior applications seem to work just fine.

I actually put a 19224 in the trunk. The 19172 is too dim for such a large enclosure. Only problem is, you can't close the bulb cover. Doesn't stick out much though. Let there be light!

i plan on getting some 19224s even though I don't like the possibility of possible burning/melting.

but are there any good bright yellow bulbs that we can use? I like the bright yellow fog look on many lexus cars....thought it would look good on black. just wondering......
