I like the current CL but 2 reasons I'm waiting on getting a new CL type S is
#1. Money
#2. I think the improvements from Gen 2 to Gen 3 will be big.(like 3.5 motor and DOHC)

I've heard everything from 2004 to 2007 for the next generation CL will hit the streets.

 

If you notice, everytime the accord gets a big makeover like in 98, the CL follows within 2-3 year window. So, expect the new CL or hear definite news about the CL late fourth quarter next year. Hopefully if they don't discontinue it.

 

I thought you had connections with your Dad working for Honda???

 

Anyway.. the only date range I've heard is 2005-2006. Probably going to be more like 2005... and that's if there is another generation of the CL....

Well, if you look to the past, with honda/acura, their cars are under a 5 year design plan (exception being the 8 yr run of the integra).

New 7th gen accord is out (last one was in 98 - 6th gen). New 2004 3rd gen TL will be out next year (last one, 2nd gen in 99).

If the CL stays in production, then by past happenings, it would appear to be out in 2005/2006. The 2nd gen CL came out in 2001, 2 years after the redesigned TL.

No one knows for sure when/if a new CL will come out.

my dad does work at honda but i get mixed reports weither the CL keep on going or getting dropped(which PLEASE DON'T GO INTO)
everytime I ask dad he says oh don't worry about that car they are going to "axe it " but I read other places and they act like it's gonna keep on going so who knows

 

I thought your dad worked at the marysville plant. Has he heard any rumors or anything yet?

nope he's at Anna plant =AEP(Anna Engine Plant) they just build motors there:P
