odd question...bear with me.

so, when we turn the key to ign II there is a faint sound like a buzz or hum and i'm sure it has something to do with the fuel. now, for the last i'd say 6-8 start ups, the sound has turned from a faint buzz or hum to more of some mechanical function dying...like batt power. I dont know exactly how to describe this. But i'm sure this is something that requires some kind of attention...thanks in advance.

Any difference the perfomance, sluggish when pressing the pedal after running for awhile.
If the pump was getting blocked from junk it would change the sound,or even when the pump starts getting weak it will sound differnt

the car is sluggish...especially after seafoaming the car which is weird...so it's probably the fuel pump?

could also be a bad pgm-fi (main) relay cause that is right in the dash above your feet (drivers) since you mentioned it coming from the dash. and then the fuel pump would not be getting enough voltage so it would not be able to pump enough fuel then
fyi: fuel pumps do not like undervoltageing, and if they get that they like to die a premature death

It could be the main relay, but 99% of the time they just completely stop working (at least in my experience).

Pull the main relay out and inspect all the solder connections. Resolder is neccessary. See if the sound goes away.

I've also had a bad ignition switch that made that noise before it went out. When it finally died, the car wouldn't stay on or would intermittently die.

hmm, this also happens to me whenever I start my car, it would hum/buzz. Then after i would let it warm up, and when its fully warmed i would drive it, after i put into D5, once i hit ~20 ish km, there would be a longer/louder buzz (like 1-1.5seconds long), but would then go away until the next time i start up my car.

Could this be the abs turning on? I'm no mechanic and if this is somewhat serious i would like to learn more and get it fixed.

thanks in advance

i appreciate the advice fellas. i'm going to check the relay as soon as i get a chance. i would hate for my pump to go due to the relay. dont want any premature endings...im gonna leave that one alone LOL

Let us know what you find out. This is my first Acura/Honda and I've only had it for 2 months but the seller told me it was the ABS system.

Most likely the ABS system self check and fuel pump being primed
