The legend calipers have 2 pistons 38mm and 42mm
so to get the area of a circle is radias squared times pie.
so the smaller pistons total area is 1,133.54 mm
and the larger piston is 1,384.74 mm
so total mm area of both pistons are 2,518.28mm
The nsx caliper are 40mm and 34mm
smaller piston area is 907.46mm
larger pistons area is 1,256mm
Total mm area of NSX calipers are 2,163.46mm
The 1 cl piston is 45mm so total area of the piston is 1,589.625
So the master cylinder on our cars are pushing 1,589.625mm of piston area
the nsx is 573.835 MORE area that the master brake cylinder is pushing out
the legend is 928.655 MORE of total area ..
Thats where I got those numbers

ok redid the math using the right size of the pistons

NSX caliper will exert 2389.54 lbs of force as opposed to 1661.6 from our standard caliper that is a 728 lb force difference which is spread out on more of the brake pad, which will increase the initial torque of the pad, that is almost 32 percent increase of braking force applied. Yes I was bored but i wanted facts to be shown.
30 percent more brake power, as well as more even brake pad wear will increase the life of rotors AND pads.
man was I bored.
and if you are really bored you can see how much force is actually required to lock the brakes up.
I didn't feel like doing that because I needed some fried chicken.

Quick find for those who want to know as well
the rotora BBK is a 4 piston setup using 4 23mm pistons i did the math and guess what it came up as the same exact force as our stock CL pistons which is 1661.6 but that is spread out better so for best bang for the buck it would be better to buy NSX or legend calipers and use the rest of the money for pads and rotors.
Just for those who want to know
Oh forgot to take into consideration the slight larger rotor of the BBK, so its force would probably be around 2186 lbs + or - 100lbs

Are u sure you MM are right on the legend and NSX caliper piston sizes, I know 2mm does not make that much of a difference but acuraoemparts.com gave me the piston sizes I posted where did u get your numbere?

and they stop our boat just fine, ive messed around with them and have no issues what so ever and they are better than our stock single crappy pistons.
I just bought the NSX ones because you dont have to swap what side the caliper goes on just the get the bleeder screw on top, it was a straight bolt on with no hassle
To each his own.

Nsx calipers and legend calipers are an upgrade. Period.

Can I use the brackets that came w/the NSX brakes or DO i have to use the CL brakets to hold the calipers?

Why change the brake calipers? Serious question. Soon I'm taking mine to the track to see how it performs. Just for fun, but is there a braking problem, or is it to look good?

Actually the brake caliper itself isn't bad its just that the pad used in conjuction with it is too large for the single caliper which creates a hot spot in the pad which in turn creates more heat, increase brake fade as well as creating a big hot spot on the center of the rotor, therefore warping rotors.
the 2 piston caliper creates more surface area on the pad to dissapate heat, less heat means less chance for warped rotors and increased braking ability

Mr. Darko - the AC delco calipers have like a 5 day delay. did it take that long to reach you? Ive been thinking of doing this upgrade for years and i could not afford them cause they were up to like $150 to $200 each caliper. rock auto has them both sides for the price of one. thanks that is a huge help. how long did it take to reach you? thanks

Yeah one said its back ordered and shipping delayed 5 days, I belive it even said it on the website.. I was in no hurry.. I cant waqit to put them on now buy my car is getting its tranny rebuild .. I will get my car back wed and prob do the brakes next week. I have EBC green pads and the NSX calipers just gotta order some rotors!

Im suprised nobodys told you this before, but your squealers for the pads are on the wrong side. The pad with the squealers on it are supposed to go on the rear of the caliper (where you cant see it) and the one without is supposed to go on the front. The squealer is the metal bracket poking out of the pad
