Napa Ceramix

Decided to go with these pads this time but the Napa guy actually confused me. Apparently there are 2 types of Ceramix pads they have, Premium and Regular. Premium are of course more pricey and supposedly "better". The premium are going to be $50-$60 more but I'm already spending quite a bit on brakes and other stuff so I'd rather spend that cash on labor getting this installed if there's no point.

I was wondering if there's a huge difference in between the two? Anybody familiar with this?

had the napa regular ceramix...and couldn't get the damn things to shut up...always squeaking really loud...finally got warped rotors (common with stock rotors) so gave up and upgraded to power slot rotors and green stuff pads never been happier.

Remember you always get what you pay for.
Also my just my learn to put on rotors/pads yourself easy way to save $$$
Plus its really easy...1-2 hr job tops.

I know it's not a huge job to change the brakes but I don't have any tools and no impact screwdriver to remove that little bolt holding the rotor, those are usually a pain. But maybe you're right I'll get the premium ones and install everything myself just have to bug my friend for tools and rent some.

I don't think Rotora are the really the best thing available and everyone praises them as the best shit around for some reason. I ran some Canadian made aftermarket drilled rotors and Axxis MM in the front for a 1.5 years now and no warping at all, great stopping power because of the MM pads. But they can be noisy sometimes so that's why I want to try ceramic now.

I used my drill to drill out the little bolt holding the rotor on. Easy that way..ha ha.
Yea man I would just get some tools and do it yourself. Ask for tools for Christmas/bdays...you can never go wrong with tools..always need them.

G-S, stop telling people to drill out the set screw. Go get a impact screwdriver for $10 at Pepboys and 5 minutes later you will get those set screws out.

i was leary about changing my pads and rotors. but surprisingly it was really easy. Take your time and remember to re-torque the screws to specification

Sorry but I had no other option...mine was rusted in there like a mo fo. and stripped from prev. owner.
for the record I only recommend it as last ditch effort.

I got quoted $103 cdn for front and $88 cdn for rear plus taxes from an official Napa store that is 5 minutes from my house and they have stock.

I've only heard good things so far and hopefully it's true.

Apparently there are OE (equivalent to original) and the Premium ones that are a bit better and don't produce as much dust.

How long do these pads last?
