n e 1 doing 6sp swap?
well my tranny die and past the warranty period, so instead of replace with the weak auto, i wanted 2 change 2 the 6sp if it is same price range. what kind of paryd r needed? and where in nor cali does this swap? any info would be great

The OP is hoping an auto vs. 6spd job at a north cali shop is going to cost around the same, and that's just not going to happen

6-speed to an auto.
I thought I had read it all here on Acurazine. That makes absolutely zero sense. Sure you'll get off the line easier but it doesn't matter how much traction you have when you're frying clutch packs right and left and needing transmission replacements all the time.

Supra guys do it a lot, actually. They switch from 6speed to 700R4's, Powah Glides, and Turbo400 automatic transmissions. My friend Tray is doing a 5speed-Powah Glide in his drag 240. Doesn't make sense to me, but it works for them.
