My poor car... does everything happen for a reason?

I woke up this morning to my dad telling me that someone through a mailbox through the back window of my baby... thats right, someone last night stole a mailbox from the neighbor, and through the whole thing (post and box) at my car. I dont understand the pleasure that some people could get outta doin somethin like that, but if they could only realize how the simple immaturities can affect people's lives. What probably seemed like a fun and crazy thing to do is really nothing but ignorance mixed with a little childish stupidity. I cant even imagine doing something like that to someone I hated - its simply overboard. I guess from every situation you learn something new, but as far as this one, I have pondered, yes, thats right, pondered what that something new could actually be. What could I positively learn from a situation like this? Park my car directly in front of my house? Maybe it tells me that no matter how I much I ever hate someone, I will NEVER vandalize anything of someones. well...what a life. what a life. Anyway, I'll do the best I can, and for anyone thinking about vandalizing somone's shit... please... ask yourself if its truly worth the pain it will cause in someone else's life. If you can answer that question with a yes, the next question you should ask yourself is how selfish are you? Its not yours or my job to punish anyone else for the acts they do, especially out of pure pleasure.... simply follow this rule... What comes around goes around. Karma.

Thank God for Insurance first of all, cause the estimate came out to $3400! Hope it was worth it for whoever did it.... They told me it would take about 2 and a half weeks to repair... and by the way, if ur not sure what the is in my backseat, its the mailbox they used... Nice isnt it? bastards.

that sucks man, i feel your pain. i had a cadillac before with the vinal top. and someone took a knife, and stabbed through the whole top and we had to get it fixed for $2400. people like that will get punished but in a different way. trust me on that one. he probably broke ur window, and then maybe he will lose his job, or his gf, or total is car. things will happen but in a different way. good luck with that stuff, ur car is sick though man.

well you talk about karma, i knew a kid who stole 300 dollars from me and spent it on drugs...he turned into a coke head, and has been institutionalized for his problem numerous times......i didnt do anything about getting my money back from him, but even with his bad karma, i still didnt get my money back

That's absolute bullshit man, I feel your pain. I don't think I ever posted anything about it, but about 2 months ago someone drove through the lot by my condo and decided to spray paint the entire back of my CL with silver flipping paint. It sucks that I only have two garages and sadly the CL gets the parking lot outside. Probably some kids with nothing better to do. Luckily I keep a heafty coat of sealant/wax on the car and the paint basically wiped right off, but that's not the point. I sat outside all night the next night with a couple of my gym and sparring buddies hoping they would decide to stop back, but no luck. That really sucks man, atleast they are fixing it though. Any damage to the leather?

Hopefully not, but you know how that goes... she told me when they cleaned all the glass out of my car (which they charged the insurance over $150 to do.. lol) they would take a look at the seats for any damage... god knows how long that would take if there was a rip in my seat... I didnt see any, but then again, glass pretty much covered everything.... By the way, all ur guys' comments really mean a lot to me... I mean it means the world knowing there are people out there that can feel my pain, and know that its really NOT ok for assholes to do shit like that... I hope the best for all of you, and may God never let any type of shit like this happen to any of you...

Best of luck. I know how you feel. My partner's car went thru a string of window smashes and similar shit, and I ultimately had to retire and give up my Legend b/c someone broke into her and not only smashed the window (but didn't steal anything of value ... ass^s) but f***ed up the fuel lines trying to siphon out gas. ... forgot about that. At least yours can be fixed and returned to her glory.

 

like everybody else said man i can't believe that shit, if that happened to my car someone would have to pay. Its a real P***y thing to do to someone, do you think it was someone you know? either way with insurance all will be new again and you'll be back to enjoying the cl, anything else happen in your 'hood that night cause if anyone saw something that would be a real help in tracking em' down, payback is a bitch (so is Karma) good luck bro!

 

The driver could still be hurt. I think it would be better for whoever did this to your car to just walk off a fucking cliff.

 

Hey, its funny you should ask, cause they took the one mailbox with the post and all, which was used on my car, and then they took the neighbors mailbox, just the mailbox, and through it at a honda civic that also parks on the street, but around the block... fortunately for them, it just left a white paint scuff because the paint on the mailbox was white... unfortunately for my black beauty, she got fucked up... haha... I tell my dad, she got her assss wooped! I guess I might add also that he has the same exact car as I do, CL-S '01, sundance gold, but his gets the exclusive GARAGE! bastard... So, there was another incident the same night in the neighborhood, but it was around 2:30, and when the Honda's alarm went off, they, of course were already gone around the corner on their way to my car... Its soooo Ironic too how, we live in practically the quietest neighborhood in Modesto, and yet, more shit happens to our shit than anywhere else... Jealousy... Jealous bitches... I just have to laugh now.. lol .... my family laughs at me cause they all know that my car is definitely my pride and joy... dont park under trees, in the sun, or next to ANY other cars ( I dont mind walking a ways to get to a store from a parking lot... besides, ITS GOOD FOR YOU) ... She gets a wash every tuesday of the week... BUT ANYWAY, thats beside the point... .......... 2 days and i miss it like hell hahaha.... thats all for now... thanks again everyone.

 

Yeah, on a lighter note... some bastard here at work keeps slamming there door into mine when they park next to me and putting dents into it....grrrr.... i cant imagine a mailbox in my back seat tho... sorry man

 

Man, if I were you, I'd be lingering around waiting for them. And when they show up and smack the side of my car with their door with me watching it, I'd unleash the fury!
