Nicky Pass,

I was at Car Boutique on Tuesday and if I'm not mistaken, they were talking about your Comptech upgrade. I saw pics of a 2001 CL-S they put a Eibach Pro-Kit on, and they were quoting me $300 for the set and $200 for labor. The parts are high, but the labor is okay. Tell what you think of their work after they finish.

The pro kit that you saw was my friend Victors car...........He loves it......I'm going to pick it up in a half an hour......I'll keep you posted. As for being a bit pricey I think that they do excellent work. Besides, they have done custom work just about every famous person in Chicago.

HMmmmm, this time tomorrow I will be having mine installed too. I definately can't wait! I found a guy that will put on my comptech springs and my Tokico shocks for $120! I've got a free lifetime alignment at firestone so thats covered. Now I just have to be patient, and it's killing me!

Congrats. I was amazed the first time I took the CL out after the install. Big difference. Put on the sway bars next and you won't be able to wait for the next clover leaf. . .

Nicky,

They are doing an alignment too? They told me that with my new CL-S (1 week old), I won't need an alignment with springs alone.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! this is the best $500 I've ever spent. The ride quality didn't suffer one bit. The car looks WAY more agressive and the steering response is amazing. I would reccomend these springs to anyone who is thinking about lowering thier Cl, but doesn't want the "slammed look". I'll try to post some pics ASAP.

Doesnt matter how new your car is. If you put springs you need an alignment no matter what.

Did they take any pics of the car before you left?

If your ever at the Car Boutique, after 5, let me know. I work in the area and I'd love to swing by and take a look at your Type S!

The steering is vastly improved over stock from what I noticed.

I'm in the Glenview area. I'd like to check it out sometime. Why did you decide on Comptech's over the Eibach Pro-Kit?

I like the Comptech because I didn't want to have to worry about every bump and curb. I am also going to put my 19s on soon and I didn't want to worry about rubbing at all.
