Absolutely happy with my CLS!

I've been a part of this board for some time now and I continue to read a lot of posts that state how crappy Acura is with this or how crappy the CL is because of this!! I just wanted to state officially that I love my car! I have not have a single major issue with it since I bought it last April. This is my second Acura and my second CL and I couldn't be more happy with it. For those of you who had their trannys die I sympathize but fortunately I have not had any problems.. I know there's a lot of people on this board who are perfectly happy with the CL so cmon speak up!!

You represent the majority man. It is just that poeple come to the board exclusively to bitch about the problems their cars have. They are mostly centralized problems affecting a small amount of cars, but when you come to the forums it is all ya see. I believe Acura made the Cl extremly solid, and spent alot of engineering time to keep up a high quality level. Our cars have much less problems than most.

30k miles and still happy with mine as well. and any problems that I did have (moonroof noise, warped rotors) Criswell Acura in MD has fixed them for me.

Since you live in Chicago, I'll gladly take you arund the block with my car, so you can hear the rattles, and booming noises that come from the roof.

Acura consistently ranks in the top 5 for customer satisfaction. I love my car and with mods it's even better. My whole buying and service experience has been outstanding.

Love my car, and enjoy every second I am behind the wheel. Looking forward to many fun and exciting mods. I just take the complaints and log them away in my brain, for one day all that complaining my do me some good when something does go ary. We're here to help eachother...and when NOBODY has any problems....what's there to help???? Nothing. If I have problems in the future...I'll bitch and I'll bitch loud!!!!

Spiroh, really?? The 2 problems I've had are the sunroof squeak and a minor rattle coming from the front passenger support beam(the beam with the small tweeter attached). What dealership have you gone to? Have you also checked with other dealerships to see if they can fix your issues??

35,000 miles in 19 months ... my CL has performed flawlessly. I am sorry to hear about those with problems. I understand their situation as I had a similar bad experience with a '97 BMW 540. Nothing but problems ... finally got the dealer to refund my entire purchase price. And, yeah, I was bitching on bimmer.org. But not here ...

I take it to Libertyville Acura. I need to make another appointment and see what they can do for me. I've had other minor problems with the car, but these are the ones that seem to bother me the most. I'll go next week, and let's see what happens.

Good luck Spiroh.. I bought my car at Napleton Acura in Elmhurst IL and they have always given me fantastic service. When you say you hear a boom from the roof do you think it might be the sunroof?? The service manager's name is Steve and he's always ready to help me out when I bring my car in.

The booming noise is coming from the roof. Aside from the rattles coming from the rear deck, there is a rattle coming from the roof too. Its weird because its like a loose piece is coming behind the moonroof. Hard to explain.

Damn Spiroh, I sympathize... I would say if Libertyville Acura can't fix it I would try Napleton or Continental Acura..

Isn't the booming noise the same moonroof problem for which
there is a TSB for? Since there is a TSB I thought it should be trivial to fix?

TSB has been done on my car already, and the booming noise is still there.

Ummmm Me Too

Couldn't be happier with the bling bling! The navi turns me on everyday. Sometimes, when I'm on my way home, I put my home destination in even though I know how to get there, just so I can here her talk to me
