I've had the same problem. Mine hasn't resolved itself yet. Friday Trip to Acura if it doesn't unless you guys have different idea. SOmeone said there is way to reset it, and that it's in the Manual. If that's true, where in the manual ?

i've heard that in order to reset it, u need to hold the 2 odo buttons together for a period of time, like maybe 10 seconds or something...the 2 odo buttons im talkin bout are the select and reset buttons right next to the fuel and temperature guages on the speedo. yeah Chad i was gonna say somethin to u bout that cuz it did seem a bit strange, but i guess i forgot to ask after u said u put on like 2K miles in 2 weeks.

The "Check Engine Light" is illuminated by the ecu when it detects something out of range in one of its systems. There are many reasons for it to come on. Since it has been staying on, I would reccomend that you have your dealer check it out. You really can't effectivily reset it without the proper equiptment. The check and repair should be under warranty.

That was to reset the Maintenance light not Check Engine. Check Engine can be quite serious or maybe not. Have it checked by the dealer as soon as possible.

Here it is: The maintenance light is on
The light comes on at regular mileage intervals, reminding you to take the car in for a checkup. It first starts blinking and then eventually goes nuts. Your dealer will reset it.
If your dealer forgets to reset it, you can reset it by doing the following:
Before starting the car, hold down the select and reset button at the same time for 10 seconds.
Then while still holding them down, turn the ignition on but don't start the car
keep holding the buttons for another 10 seconds and let go
Turn the ignition off. The light should stay off now.
The light can also be on for other problems with your car, so it's best to get your car checked out

Wait a sec. What light went on? The Check Engine light or the Maintenance light? Both are different things. If its the check engine light..dont mess with anything and take it to the dealer. That fuse you pulled. Did you put it back, or leave it out? If you did leave it out..make sure you put the fuse back.

I have the same problem, after installing my CAI, I took out the ECU fuse, and the check engine light came on. It didn't come on when I first drove my car for a day, but when I pulled the ECU fuse out it stayed on.

The check engine light on my '01 TL lit up twice through no fault of mine. After the second time they replaced my ECU. So far it has stayed off.

Could be a number of things, the light goes on when the ECU generates a code for something not working correctly. I had the light on mine go on for a day and then go off, and it turned out to be an 02 sensor, which only became apparent a few days later when the car started to almost stall out on me and then pick up.
It came on yesterday and the transmission started shifting horribly. so far I've reset the ECU to get it home and its driving ok, but I'll get the code checked at a shop or autozone to make sure and not to run it and do it some harm along the way. Try autozone, they'll do a free code check for you.
