My car is getting torn apart.....

Dropped it off for the 105K mile service & replacement of the steering rack. 1st time anyone has worked this much on my car. I'm a bit nervous....
I keep getting images in my head of the car never running right again, or having problem after problem because of the service like some have. Or getting screwed out of my $1500 & the shop not doing the work they say they do. Or......
I should have the car back tomorrow or Thursday.

Rack is leaking at the shaft seal.
Local Honda shop. I've had good luck with them. Just my head wondering.

fuzzy02CLS, maybe you could email your shop info. to the OP on the thread below:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-problems-fixes-70/issues-after-throttle-body-coolant-bypass-804806/

He seems to need help with his 'hot start issue' and finding a competent shop there in Broward.

Yeah. From your 08 post...
Alright, I got my Timing belt, Water Pump, and a couple of other things changed today at Cartek.

Pricing break down for timing belt and water pump for the rest of you locals goes like this:
Labor: $280 (for Timing belt, water pump and drive belts)
Timing Belt: $54.66
Water Pump: $125.89

Total: $460.55 w/o Tax & shop fee.

The job was done reasonably quick and the service was top notch. All parts were OEM and the car is running excellent as always.
Hows it holding up?

Cartek is great. I know because my cousin owns it lol. He's been a certified Honda/Acura Master Tech since I was in High School. Also does great performance stuff, you should check out his s2k amongst other builds he's done.

So don't worry, if he says he does it, he does it and does it right. I'll give him a call to remind him to take special care of it for you lol.

No problems, everything went fine. I believe I got it done at 85k miles (I changed it then because of the age of the car) and I'm at 120k now.

I hope it goes just as well for you.

$1340 later!!!!!
Seems ok. Had to get a alignment. I had a 3 year alignment from the tire shop. They were not happy with me. An hour & a half trying to get it aligned. On there dime.
I am going to take it easy on the car for 500 miles.

Bit late, but FWIW there isn't really anything to stop you from swinging down and having a look at what the mechanic is doing if you have the time. Most techs I know don't mind it, and it's always fun to see the guts of your car. It's a great learning experience, too.

Steering rack was $350 alone for the part. It was like 6 hours labor too.
I also was charged an hour labor for spark plug replacement. I thought he was going to cover that. I gave him the correct 6MT plugs to use.

Yep, I believe I spent around 300 for my rack & pinion, now i just need to have my power steering pump replaced, it appears to be leaking on the timing cover, hasn't effected the belt yet.....

Having to top off fluid every now and then sucks....luckily I worked at a shop at the time I had my clutch replaced and the rack & pinion, spent around 1050 for parts and labor...didn't think that was too bad, I sure didn't want to replace that damn thing!!
