Mugen Fan Switch

Hey guys, I picked up a the fan switch on ebay, but it was used. It came off an integra and the guy said it worked fine and he was just selling his car (which was also on ebay). So I figured why not try to save roughly $20. My question being is this the type of part that can experience wear causing it not to function properly? It looks fairly simple, Im gonna replace the little rubber grommet and clean up the metal/thread area with some acetone for maybe a peice of mind. But before I waste my time installing it do you think its good to go? I mean it doesn't look too bad, I can get a pic if its that important. Thanks in advance.

You should change the T-stat to the Mugen along with the fan switch as well.
