It's actually 90A; I'll have to correct it on website. I really would not recommend 90A unless the car is a full track car and honestly we don't keep very many 90A bushings on hand.

and i know at least the 75 for me, if not the 90 even
so another question, i know you will let us order replacement bushings; especially if we want harder or softer ones at a later date, so my ? is, how much do those run...
See post above about 90A. Also if there is an issue with your bushings (which I've only sent out two bushing replacements/upgrades for the 3rd gen TL on 50 mount sets thus far and that was b/c the 2 members launch their vehicles all the time) we will replace the bushings for you.

the cl is pretty much a track car. and pushing a lot of power, think 90a with two etd will be enough

First Impressions...

I'm putting some miles on these things, and not taking it easy either. No good test or review is done overnight.
It's looks like 6 weeks before these mounts are in stock, so plenty of time to do a tolerance/durability test. But as far as first impressions I will say this:

The XLR8 mounts are very high quality made. The install went smooth, fitment was not an issue. Welds looked good, so did the hardware.

The car is really able to plant the power down nicely now. Along with the 3 dampers I already have 2 Nrg's front, and rear (6mt only) and the Ingalls Stiffy I could still feel a big difference with the new motor mounts. Wheel hop has significantly been reduced. However ... Remember guys it still a high hp FWD car the wheels are going to lose traction with over aggressive launching /clutch dumping. But with some precise feathering of the clutch I'm able to get it to grab and go! Shifting between the higher gears is stiffened up as you would expect. When I rev the motor with the hood popped... the motor doesn't budge, its crazy!

As for the vibrations felt through the steering wheel, pedals and ur butt... The increase to me was minimal, it's not overwhelming there is no crazy dash rattling. The only thing I've noticed so far is when I've got the wheel turned hard and making a low speed turn like pulling into a parking lot I get a little stutter/judder through the wheel. Basically I'm feeling the steering rack a little more. But it's also been intermittent. The same feeling can be felt at cold start-up, and when the ac kicks on.

These are stiffer than stock mounts some vibrations are going to happen regardless. But remember I added some vibrations before with the torque dampers, the new mounts added slightly thereafter. Your experience may differ. If you take into consideration the stock dampers I replaced are made to reduce the vibrations made by the motor mounts. Someone I'm sure will install these new mounts while leaving the stock dampers untouched, most likely resulting in less vibrations felt... With all that said even as stiff as my car is I had my girl in the car she didn't notice anything, my dad was in the car and he didn't notice either. If you guys plan to over analyze the possible vibrations your going to miss out on a great performance part...

Let me know what else you wanna know, look for another update this weekend when I have some time.

Is there anything else for us 6 speed users other than the engine mounts and the ingalls stiffy engine torque dampener? What about something for the transmission mounts?

your welcome first of all for the stiffy mount, finally actually coming to market

and second good to hear about the vibrations being minimal (kinda secondary to me personally, more worried about being able to put down the power, and not having my exhaust getting yanked forward, and hitting my rear sway bar )

and if people are that worried about increased vibrations, you should not even be modifying your car, EVERYTHING IS A COMPROMISE, either you get performance or you get comfort, or a compromise of in between, NEVER BOTH

yes they are, and in reality they are actually just like shcok absorbers on your suspension; but a couple of people of replace them with NRG units instead, to try and get the factory mounts to act stiffer, but they only do so much though

There is a whole thread on these, which was recently bumped to the front page... Either way here is the link for anyone interested in the torque dampers. Please post in there.

I just had a couple of my mounts replaced a few months ago. I figured by the time those crap out there should be a more solid consensus over how these hold up in the long run.

If it all pans out well, I'll be all over these

I figured it out when I went and looked/installed it. Thanks though

Oh, trust me, I know. I just sold my RB25 240sx. I didn't buy my TL-S to turn it into a track car vibrating/rattling all over the place either though. I poly-filled my 240sx mounts one before, and that's not what I want on my TL. My compromise will be these 62A mounts + the ingalls stiffy.

The rear mount is the only difference, right? What about if we're planning on doing a 6spd swap? (TL-S here)

Excelerate if I pay for the engine mounts 75a and the stiffy today could you give me a good price? I'm also thinking about buying ingalls front control arms and rear camber arms if you can give me a good price on them also, maybe you can do a package deal for me..

Here's everything in your shopping cart, the total is $859.18

I wouldn't mind taking advantage of the pre order but I also want to find out if there's any issues with these mounts first so I was waiting for another detialed review. I was one of the first ones to purchase the innovative mounts on your group buy only to find out after that they were pretty much trash even the replacements. If I order now and these end up having issues due to the manufacturing will you give a refund?

It's a mixture. 62A is recommended for all street/light bolt on vehicles. 75A is street cars with a lot of mods and light track.

That's fine. We've tested these mounts on 3 vehicles now and we are happy with the results; minimal vibration, good fitment. We didn't exactly rush these to market.

This is a pre-sale designed for those who want an additional discount in exchange for paying up front. If you're not comfortable with it you can buy it at the normal sale price after people post reviews. If there are issues, which there shouldn't be but anything is possible, we will repair or replace the product. We don't offer refunds on parts that have been installed or for parts customers are dissatisfied with.

Exclamation Still Testing - 500 miles so far...

I can totally understand your point of view, and all the other guys who got burned on the innovative mount fiasco. I'm felling the pressure believe me, my reputation is on the line more or less. This is why I want to properly test these mounts. I can't do it overnight, but I also understand that the pre-order deal is running out. It's quite the predicament.

I'm keeping a close eye and ear to anything unusual but so far nothing.

I can tell you guys interested purely in performance that your going to freakin love these new mounts! Drivability on all levels IMHO has been improved. There's no hp added here, but the car "feels" faster, for instance the throttle response is quicker. Maybe it's because the tires are gripping faster??? The breaking feels more precise, and I've already got a bbk. I have a fully worked suspension, and I notice more ability to "dive" into turns. I'm still riding on all season tires, they are brand new high performance pirelli's btw. Possible to have even better results with summer tires! I never realized how important keeping the motor in place is, it affects everything upfront. Especially with a fwd car.
I promise I'm not imagining all this, but maybe my old mounts were going bad, or this is truly the missing link? I'm really trying not to sound like a fanboy here, but the car is more fun to drive and I'm super impressed. I'm excited for someone else to get their hands on these and hear their thoughts. Matter of fact if your reading this and your in fairfield county CT come take a ride in my CL and see for yourself! I've got nothing to hide.

It's still cold out as anyone in the northeast will tell you. The other night after coming off the highway after a 30 minute ride I hit the access road directly off the ramp. The tires were warmed up, I launched it hard from a dig... it grabbed... in an instant I swung second like never before. Chirping second and roaring into third I shut her down. Too fast for local roads. Wow! Let me say this again: your experience may vary I have all the major bolt-ons, no boost, and stock motor. If you are pushing some serious power you might have a tougher time putting the power down. But from where I'm sitting it's way better.

I'm trying to come up with more examples to give you guys. I keep thinking of my boy who drives a hooked up G35, he's the only other person who has ever driven my car... like I do. Hung out with him the day before I got the xlr8 mounts installed and he drove it. Had him drive it the day after and he was blown away, he was like "damn this thing got torque!, its fast now" kept saying "wow" and "I've got to get some of these for my car" lol He also won't agree to race me anymore. I'm glad someone else felt what I did, maybe I'm not going crazy.

Dude I know I promised videos. I'm trying to get some vids made but of course out of nowhere I'm crazy busy with work. And to top it all off I broke my camera mount, wanna send me yours? Gimme some more time on the vids, cause when I do get them up I will not disappoint.

That is why I specified problems due to the manufacturer I wouldn't ask for a refund in any other case. I will trust what your saying and hope that this doesn't turn out like innovative.

I believe these mounts will be the problem solver. I ordered 75A and a stiffy damper for extra insurance because I will have a few bolt ons and spray.

There's no hp added here, but the car "feels" faster, for instance the throttle response is quicker.

The braking feels more precise......

I notice more ability to "dive" into turns. ....

I never realized how important keeping the motor in place is, it affects everything upfront. Especially with a fwd car.

the car is more fun to drive and I'm super impressed.

I can vouch for the quoted parts above.

I have had the Innovative Mounts for the past 2-1/2 years. My mounts are the stiffer 75A (Black).

While researching mounts before I made my purchase, people said that the mounts should improve handling because the mounts help to tighten the car structurally. They were right.

And, all of my researching stated that traction would improve a lot with these mounts in front wheel drive cars. This was my primary reason to get these mounts. They were right.

How much do I love my mounts? If something happened to my current mounts, I would immediately purchase a replacement set..... no matter the price. I would eagerly pay double or triple the price. That is how much I love the poly urethane mounts. The mounts totally transformed all aspects of my car. The mounts even changed the way my engine sounds from within the cabin.... giving the engine a more sporty sound. Overall, the mounts makes the whole car (all aspects) feel extremely rigid and inspiring confidence in spirited driving.

BTW - My car had only 27,000 miles on it when I installed my Innovative Mounts. My oem mounts were still in excellent condition. Thus, my impressions were not due to having worn-out mounts beforehand.
