Damn that sounds easy....Im talking about the auto rear mount. lol

I had a bitch of a time lining the mount bracket back up with the engine itself (again, by myself). Maybe I didn't lighten the load enough or something...not sure.

I finally got the mount installed. Yes the rear mount was a bitch to installed even with the car on a lift. The front was very easy since we remove bottom frame when doing the clutch job. The side was also no problem.

Now for mounted you do feeling GOOD vibration when the car is in hand brake/ neutral / park, but that when i first installed week ago. Now after about 500 miles later the vibration is still there but not as bad when 1st installed it. You still get an feel vibration but not big deal an you get used to it. Over all I"m Happy customer an it was worth the wait

Nice. I wish I knew how long it'd take Alben to do...it appears I'd have to use a whole Saturday and take it there first thing in the morning, and sit there and wait on it. I'll probably call him tomorrow and see how much and how long do they think it'd take.

Well, I got the front and rear mount installed. I went with the 75A. Theyre no worse then my 94A filled OEM mounts. But, on to my issue.

Like most people, the side mount is giving my a problem. Unlike most people, its not simply fixed with widening the bolt holes.

My side mount bolts into the frame without a problem, although I did have to use one longer bolt since the material is thicker and the entire mount was tweaked a bit so one of the legs lifted up off the frame when it was just sitting there.

But the bracket that connects the mount to engine will not line up no matter what I do.

Here is the mount all bolted up where it should be:

Its not up and down alignment. Its front to back. I need to actually move the mount itself back about 1/8th-1/4th of an inch. As I said, the OEM side mount bolted up without a problem. Its not an issue with the alignment of the engine.

I had similar issue but i was able to install it though. I had to push the mount back against the belt tensioner i also had to grind some material by bolt closest to the firewall.

There's a certain order of tightening bolts for the side mount, according to the service manual. Try bolting down those bolts first, and then try to get it to bolt down to the frame.

Otherwise, that looks quite a bit off. However, I think only one of those bolts is necessary to bolt in. My car doesn't even have one of those two hole slots.

As I have said before in this thread, when installing the mounts you must install one mount at a time. You must also leave all the bolts loose on all 3 mounts before doing the final tightening on each mount and you must support the engine with a jack. The mounts do fit. We've installed a number of them here and so have many others. If you'd like to email me a diagram of the bolt holes on your mount I will compare it to other ones here to make sure it wasn't somehow an error in fabrication. It's unlikely since the jig is the same and all the mounts are made from the same jig but I will verify for you. Thanks.

If it is an issue with the alignment of the engine, why does the OEM mount line up perfectly fine?

its the one with 4 bolt holes. excelerate said that those are for the 3rd gen tls. its a few posts back when ppl were getting wrong mounts.

OEM mounts and aftermarket mounts aren't necessarily the exact same. While these mounts fit in the same location a slight tweak on each mount can cause a little gap different on the side mount. That's why it's important to leave all the mounts loose until all the mounts have been installed.

In regards to your question about the OEM mount lining up perfectly it's hard to say. Why have dozens of these been installed on other cars without a problem and there is a problem on your car and a few others? I don't know for sure. Most of the time it has to do with the installation. Is it possible the mount is off; yes but it's unlikely. I think you need to revisit the installation and loosen up all the mounts and support the engine. Once you send the diagram with the exact spacing of the mount holes I can compare it to other mounts we have here.

3 packages left the other day and I'm supposed to have different bushings in there. No one got 3rd gen TL mounts. Some of the MT CL orders got 2 front mounts and one rear mount. If you got a spider looking mount that is the rear mount for the MT CL.

Been over 2 week now after installment. I can say i mainly feel mount vibrations only went car is in park or neutral (waiting for light to turn green) If you turn wheel more to left or right you can get rite of strong vibration, but real no big deal. Now with the A/C on i haven't notice any big changes. You also can feel mount vibration sometime during low shifting.

I also had same issue.. taken 30+ minutes to figure out what i was doing wrong by myself.
This is what i came up with:

This is 2 person jobs:
1st only hand tight 3 bolt that go to frame an big bolt that going throw side mount use hand socket wrench an turn few time.
2nd get a crowbar (any type small size cheap bar) an put it in an down between the side of mount an bracket part.
3rd Have 1 person move crowbar (back an forward /left to right until it line up) an now hold it until other person can use hand socket wrench to tight it down.

After i got friend (Alben) to help me with this it take us less then 2 minutes to get it done.

I realize this.

As I said before, they were.

The entire engine was supported with an engine hoist during the install since I had the entire engine out for a transmission swap.

The spacing of the holes on the frame is not the issue. They actually bolted up to the frame perfectly once I got a longer bolt since the entire mount seemed warped. Two legs would sit properly on the frame while the third would lift up about 1/4".

I realized that I left the side mount at Pauls, so once I get back out there I can take a few pictures for you comparing the discrepancy between the two side mounts.

Im not going to do that for two reasons - I shouldn't have to; and most importantly, I do not want to cause any binding.

Remove strutbar also long extension 3/8 drive would help to undo top bolt from the passenger side wheel. It is a bitch but its doable.

it is a bitch but def do-able. i was able to get the job done with just the basic tools. will need extentions and swivels for the rear.
