Cruisin' on my way home and this WRX with a mean sounding exhaust, lowered, and wheels pulls ahead of me. I notice he has his girlfriend in the car as well. Anyways, we end up getting next to each other when approaching a red light. We were cruising around 40mph when the light turned green and he punched it. I got a late reaction and hit the bottom of 2nd gear. Anyways, he jumps ahead by about 1.5-2 car lengths. By the time I hit the top of 2nd, I had reeled him in and was at the back door. I then shift into third and start pulling more but he stopped, so I basically blew right by him. To me, I think he did that to tell his lady that he beat me, since he knew I was gonna pull on his ass in 3rd. I thought it was kinda shitty, but oh well. I don't know whether to call this a loss or victory, so I can leave that up to you guys.

Don't you hate that empty feeling? I can't stand it when guys jump ahead and then cut off the race when you're gaining ground definitively.

same thing happened to me. this guy in an 05 grand prix gtp thought he had something on me but turns out that he didnt have the balls and backed off. and im in a stock 02' cl.( not a type-s)

Is there like, only one aftermarket exhaust available for WRX's? I only seem to see one kind. And it's always loud as hell.

LOL nah, there's plenty of exhausts out there for the WRX. I wish the race didn't start at the speed I was at. I was at the bottom of 2nd and didn't start gaining for a few seconds. If we started at 50, he would have been toast.
