on the respect thing. I at least give people the thumbsup if they beat me (or if its really close).

And I want more power too, but I feel its wasted on FWD.

I hear you. I dont think it's too bad though unless you plan on tracking the car a lot, as launching and corner acceleration lacks. I think another 50whp would help during runs on the roll but yeah overall for snow, or just overall driveability, FWD isn't the best option. I test drove a Jeep SRT8 a couple weeks ago and am seriously considering but I like not having a car note.

Yep. Ive been looking but having the extra money in my pocket, especially with the economy, is much wiser. The new SRT8 is worthy too.

I can wait to be boosted and report back some kills/loses but the thing is that nobody wants to race a cl. Thats a thing i like and hate. Like it when people underestimate ur car and got beat by two trucks lenght and hate it because noone wants to race me.

Same here. The cars I want to race never go. But I usually get the ricers trying to race me. Only once did a Maxima try to race me.

From the reports I heard, the old SRT8 will be faster even though it's underpowered due to weight. I dont like the new one, the interior is better but that's where it stops. The center exhausts are where it's at.

As far as races, I dont have a problem getting races. Just seems like the ones I've got lately have been from all cars that demolish me. But I do occassionally run across the 335 or Evo that doesn't want to run...

Lemme know when you get it installed and if you need some help. We could have a fun run against my 3 series.

Kills:
Lincoln LS v8 something or another (60-85 left it a car length behind)
Mustang GT Convertible (Roll on highway, Walked away)
GTI (Roll on highway, rolled it)
g35 Sedan (Half car 60-90)

Lost to:
Mustang GT (Latest Gen by a car length 30 to 80)
Newer 330i (Twin scroll turbo version)
Mini Cooper (S?) (Debadged with a boost gauge on the steering column as big as m whole dash readout. Looked pretty serious haha. I slipped my clutch to much because I was tense)

Yeah I can't seem to get anyone to go anymore except cars I know are out of my league. (Like the new 330i and 370z) It seems like I cant ever find anything in the CLS6 league because its in some sort of weird dry spot in terms of performance. Very few cars seem to be on par, either they're to far below to be fair or far enough above to walk on my easily. MyAccord I used to be able to get anyone to go. The CLS is so rare and unknown even cars that should walk me hesitant because they just don't know what to think. Maybe when I bump my power bracket with I/H/C/E and a Tune I'll find a comfortable place chasing 350z and 330s

Just right now, I was tailing a motorcycle racing an old Nova, or Chevelle. I was keeping up right on their asses and then the old car moved aside and I lined up with the motorcycle on a role. We were even all the way to 90mph, then I shut off. I had two friends in the car with me.

I couldn't identify the muscle car, it looked like a nova or chevelle, but it couldn't have been that fast because I was gaining on it when it was running against the motorcycle. As far as the motorcycle went, I couldn't identify what kind it was because I am not a bike person It might have been a Harley Davidson, but that's only my best guess.

Ok. Had to take a breather so I wouldnt comment on that post above.

During lunch I had an appt with the eye dr, and on my way back to work I was trying to get this 300zx to run but he wouldnt go. Suddenly a wild Camaro appeared. It was loud and had 20s on it I dropped it down to 4th at 70 and we went. I hurt his feelings pretty damn bad.

This morning on my way to work there was a Mazdaspeed3 (second gen), loud exhaust, lowered, and green wheels, but he wasnt interested in doing anything.

I guess I'll take the troll bait

Jacob your intelligence shines through again...

Not only did you wreck your first CL, your grandfathers car, but you put two other occupants lives in danger in the hands of someone who has stellar driving ability as you have exhibited in your past history.

If you wanna drive like a moron, at least consider the lives you directly impact. Do you EVER... I mean EVER pause and think, "Maybe I should't be doing this, I mean I've already totalled (At least that we know of) 2 cars within 2/3 years?"

Some dude at a stoplight was in a turning lane and I just KNEW he was going to go straight and cut me off. Brand new Impala SS. Needless to say I was looking over just thinking this dick is going to do it, and he looks over and then looks at the light. Now I know they aren't beasts or anything but damn with a 3.9L I didn't expect it to stand still as I walk away with no traction through half of first and breaking again into second. SLOW!

Makes me please with my car even more. Better Economy, Power, Comfort. A lot less $

Why 4th? 70mph is the bottom of 3rd. I know you have the 3.6 but still.

Gas mileage

If I hit fourth at about 70, that puts me right in the meat of my powerband and the car pulls the hardest. I dont rev it to redline in most cases either. I typically shift around 6500rpm. I run very rich up top so thats why I dont spend much time up there, but once I get tuned I will.

I know. I refuse to use a piggy back though. Ive gone 37k miles on the 3.6 untuned. It was running great with the 3.7l manifold, then I went with the 80mm TB and oddly enough now I run rich. We're thinking its possibly my injectors over-saturating at WOT and causing the rich condition. Before the 80mm TB though I was still pulling timing up top.

Ill be on the EMS by the end of the year. Once I get that running Ill see where I stand and go from there. I want more power, but I wont boost it.

I understand. Custom cams/high compression FTW? Easy 350/320.

Could also be due to higher manifold pressure. Stock ECUs don't handle high manifold pressure that well. And you have a LOT more air passing through there haha.

Im going to keep the compression where its at (11:1) since I travel a lot I run the risk of getting bad gas - and I dont want any issues. But I definitely want cams. Ive looked at the Bisi cams but they arent treated properly after they are reground so they probably wont last very long. 350/320 at the wheels is ultimately my goal. Im at 295/275 right now and I think with proper tuning with the EMS I can hit 315/300. Theres a few more things I may do within the next year, but first thing is tuning.

Possibly, but the 7g Accords that are running a similar setup seem to be running fine with just fuel tuning - although they run Motorola ECUs and widebands on both banks stock, so.....

With that said, for some reason, my engine is pulling more vacuum then what the builder (Paul) is used to seeing. Add the fact that I was the guinea pig for this intake on the non-DBW cars (which required the manifold itself to be chopped up/rebuilt), we were kind of in uncharted territory, so you may be right. Either way, I need to be tuned.

2009 or 2010 Mini Cooper S, Definately Not Stock... At least exhaust.
Was a couple of good highway runs, but the only straight run with no one around so we could open up he was a car length up (My front bumper on his rear)
I saw him watching me and I heard the sound of him slamming it so I of course downed into third and took off too. With out pushing to the top in third (shifted about 6,000) I walked up and reversed roles from 60-90 (by 90 his front was my rear.) He was smiling as I creeped by him though, which of course made me break out a grin.(I love when people don't take it so seriously.)
After that there were to many people around so we werent able to line up. I threw the thumbs up out though after walking and later when we parted way on my exit he game me the smile and wave like "Nice Run."

Yea, I was hoping he would do something. He flew up my ass on the highway and was pacing me for awhile. I tried my best to get him to open it up but he wouldnt

It was the redesigned Cayenne. I think it was the base model too - so it wouldve been real easy. I still wanted to be able to say "I beat a Porsche on the way to work today" though

The Turbo models have 500hp I think. The base has 300. The S has 400. They Turbo is quick. The base model like I saw today isnt.

Hands down the only SUV i'd ever consider driving. I just enjoy "Spirited Driving" a little to much.

On a side note, I love how the 3 models range from 300-500hp like its no big deal.

Name a few more vehicles where there is disparity spanning three separate 100hp tiers.

^ True regarding the power differences.

BUT, Id take an X5M over the Cayenne only if I had to get an SUV, and I hate SUVs.
