I don't know what it is about this forum. No other forum I've been on is like it. This forum has some sort of positive tone to it that keeps it entertaining at all times. My guess is because of the age group associated with it (low 20's to mid 30's). Either way, it's a great site.

I raced an 8th gen accord last night and was beating him all the way up to red line in 3rd gear last night.

Only have raced the car again one other car - Volvo S60-R AWD Turbo
From a dig, not good, no traction and I just get killed.
From a 20mph, I pull, 2nd pull harder and then about 3rd gear I don't pull anymore; @ 100 I'm about 4 cars ahead.

Three Wheelin'
That S60 R is one of my favorite cars ever, even the V70 R is a great car. I love the Active chassis setting that frims it up and really tightens up the steering. Lot of fun to play with.
If I could find one in the right shape I'd buy it!

Three Wheelin'
For me, the CLS has cost me more then any other car to keep in good running condition. Major mechanical repairs and it nickles and dimes the shit out of me, and parts are not cheap. (I go the car with 58K miles) So being a CLS owner, I'm not going to dog the S60 R's reliability, based on my personal experiance with the CLS.
I've always like the sheet metal work on them. (the body lines) The only reason I don't think I will own one is becasue I can get a C5 Z06 Vette for the same price and that is what I really want next.

Not bad. Ive beaten a C5 vert before from a 40-90 roll. Put around 2.5 cars on him before I shut it down.

played cat and mouse with an MS3 today (2009 with mods and a drop) i could tell he had exhaust and smelled no cat intil i passed him.
i was in 4th the whole time and it was fun. i wasnt really trying to smoke him but i definitely pulled when i gave it gas.

Now for the good stuff
Run 1: (20-90mph)
We start off in first gear, 3 honks and were off. Were both even in 1st gear, then we hit for 2nd. I spin the tires and pull, he misses 2nd completely (350z's have bad syncros)
Run 2: (20-90mph)
This run was a rematch from the first run because as stated above, he missed 2nd. So anyway, we start off in first gear, 3 honks and were off. He pulls by maybe half a foot in 1st gear until we both shift into second. I spin the tires and away I go. I pulled ahead by a little over half a car until we both shifted into 3rd. Then I started pulling one full car length ahead of him until I shut off at 90. In this race, I won by one and a half car lengths.
Run 3: (60-105mph)
At this time were both on the freeway in 3rd gear. We honk 3 times and were off. I immediately start pulling on him, leaving him in the dust by at least two car lengths.
Run 4: (60-105mph)
This run was just a goofy one. We didn't even honk, nor did I even know he was going to gun it. He goes, and I go a second later (remember, a second is a long time when it comes down to straight line racing). Basically, I start gaining on him, but he decides to let off for a second to let me catch up even though I was gaining on him like crazy anyway. Basically, I humiliated him on that run.

I was coming home from work Thursday night and I stopped off at the store to pickup some stuff for dinner. On my way home I pulled up to a red light next to a late model black Silverado. It had black wheels, dark tint, a loud stereo and "Live Crazy" written on the back window.
I did what I usually do in those situations - I didnt pay attention. But I noticed he edged up a bit as I pulled up to the stop line. I didnt think anything of it. The light turns green, I pull off the line easily, shift into second at about 10mph (so really low RPMs). This truck was pacing me off the line. Next thing I know, he floors it. I wasnt going to do anything, but the guy stirred the nest. Hes about a car and a half up at this point when I floored it in second at about 15mph. By 5k rpms Im next to him. I shift in third, look down and Im doing 70 and I already put a car length on him. I shut it down at that point since its a 45 zone (about to turn into a 55 zone though). He paced me the rest of the way down the highway. I thought he was going to try to go again, but he didnt.

Also, about a month ago I had a ricer in a CRX mess with me. Once again I was coming home from work, about to get onto the interstate when I got caught at a red light. This really beat up CRX is in the middle lane. Since Ive always loved the CRX, I always look at one when I see one. I guess this guy thought I wanted to race or something - not my intent. The light turns green and he floors it. I wasnt paying attention (its like 1am and I worked all day). I look into the gas station parking lot where a cop usually sits and didnt see one, so I launch. When I launch the CRX is about three, maybe four cars up. By the time I hit second Im past him

last week i was going to NYC so got on the expressway and at the traffic lights i pulled right next to nice old Z3 M coupe i noticed that rear tires were hella wide i thought it might be stock or something so i can give it a try but first traffic lights we were just cruising then last light at the exit to staten island we stoped right next to each other... i was easy on the first gear and i punched at second then i heard that thing screaming and turbo spooling like WTF he got past me like i would hit the brakes that was crazy... my guestimate tells me it was 500whp+ from what i saw... BTW not too many old BMW that are boosted these days i thought those engine dont take boost at all.
