Left roadlamp died
'01 CL-S and the road lamp went out.
What do ya'll think? Should I go with the PIAA white blue replacement, or just pick up a set of the '03 CL-S black fairings to replace the road lamps?
Does anyone know where to get these fairings and the cheapest place for the piaa bulbs?

i'd say go for the white blue or go LED wedge, i believe they are both in the same price range of $10ish. Depending on the price of the fairings, maybe go for aftermarket fogs?

I'm thinking to try these...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2pcs-...03603174QQrdZ1
since they actually illuminate sideways using the reflectors of the fog plus have big flux led in the middle. And since they're all so cheap, there's no problem to try them all.

I bought those first ones. Thank you for finding them for me. I'm just pissed though.. The place is out of Lawrenceville. And I'm in Roswell, I asked if I can come and pick them up. But the auction ended and I'm having to pay $9 extra just for them to be shipped 20 minutes away.

My driver's side bulb mysteriously works again. Can anyone tell me how to replace this thing? I assume you have to go from under the bumper.

Check out this FAQ site for instructions:

A medium phillips screw driver will back the screw out enough to where you can reach inside the lower grill area and push the housing out from behind. After you've done it once, it's a breeze. The whole procedure can be done in 5 minutes.
BTW...I used to use Polarg M6's but became disappointed by what seemed to be a short lifespan. (I've seen similar complaints posted). I've since switched to the PIAA 19224's. I got mine at http://store.yahoo.com/ltbmotorsport/pimibu.html for $10.73 for the twin pack. A very important thing to remember is don't touch the bulb! I put gloves on when replacing the bulb itself. Oil from your skin will kill the lifespan of these bulbs.

This happened on Teh Snaps car (My old CLS)
I had always used the Polarg M-6 Bulb. What happened is that the casing that the bulb slides in, the little metal connectors that touch the bulb had stretched out. So I took a flat head and bent them inwards toward eachother, making for a tighter fit for the bulb.
I was wondering what the hell was going on, because I had just changed them for him like a week before, and so I testes it by shimmying the connector and turning the lights on and off, and thatshow I discovered it.

Impression on LEDs: Went in very easy. No problem at all. Look really awesome. Blueish tint, nice contrast against the red car and white hids. But doesn't project worth a shit. I need the ones that spread out the pattern. Pics are up in my thread in the pictuer forum.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to post these tips. It helped me out this evening changing my driver's side road lamp. I had no idea how to get this done, and the time you took to type out some helpful hints seems to have made a big difference to quite a few of us already.
Thanks again.
