Question jet hot exhaust?

i did some searching and found out that jet hotting exhaust is possible. my question is....if i had the comptech catback, would it be correct to just coat the b and y pipes? or also do the mufflers too? what do you guys think?

peopel have had their headers coated, not their exhaust though.

Unless you wnat to keep them blingin' and shining forever, there's no real benefit to getting it done.

Jet hot coating headers would cost about $250; I think I got a quote of around $200 per muffler (+ canister) when I had my apex'i exhaust (larger than comptech). Look to spend about $500-600 I would say to get it done (not worth it imo) $0.02

i'm almost positive no one's done the y pipe and mufflers.

i correct the value though, I think the quote was about $120-150 per muffler.

if you email 'em and give a description they can give you a quote.

already in the process of getting the quote. i'm picking up some CT headers and exhaust soon and will be sending both to jet hot for coating. as of now, i'm thinking of just having them coat the b and y pipes and leave the mufflers alone. we'll see.

i still plan to do my cat and possibly the rest of the exhaust. and to whoever said there is no performance aspect to this isn't necessarily correct. the cat and mufflers and i believe the catback piping is only coated on the outside. what this does is keep heat within the exhaust which increases the gas velocity. for a normal n/a cl-s, i'm not sure you would want this. your low end torque MIGHT suffer if you do the whole exhaust. IMO just do your headers, downpipe, and cat.

my setup is harder to coat bc it's almost entirely custom except for the headers. but for someone buying headers and the catback, send it out to them.

I would do my headers and down pipe only. The rest of it seem to be a waste of cash to me.
